I'm simply saying I don't agree with your use of the term kicking the can because in this case they haven't done that. They aren't moving money from this year to later years. It's a contract that has been structured with larger cap hits in every year. That isn't kicking the can. Sorry if don't like being questioned in a public forum. I'm not picking on you. Here it is per the Cambridge dictionary: to avoid or delay dealing with a problem.
Example: I don't think we should kick the can down the road and let our grandkids solve that problem.
what are we avoiding or delaying with his contract? I'm not trying to argue with you but based on your interpretation every contract beyond one year would be considered kicking the can. Almost every nfl contract is structured with higher cap hits every year
