I wasn't annoyed by the negotiations. I was baffled by the chorus from fans and media (and Jared Allen) chiming in about these astounding contract numbers that he "deserved." In negotiations, nobody deserves anything. In this case, there is a contractual structure (established by the union CBA) that placed boundaries on what each side had to do, could do and couldn't do. That takes a lot of emotion out of things and brings it back to business. In the end it was, of course, just business. Regarding the use of the word "diva." Many of these kids are exactly that. They think the world owes then everything because of the unique combination of God given talent and opportunities that they have been blessed with. Those that add hard work and focus earn the big contracts. They don't earn beyond the big contracts. That's where things get silly and I'm extremely grateful that many in the media and fanbase do NOT have KAM's ear. At least we haven't seen JJ riding a camel (yet).

What I just showed was actually you advocating against $35M in favor of your own plan, based on 30AAV using the tags. You actually said that 35 AAV type range was quite the contrast to your approach. I'm glad KAM did not think along those same lines and instead locked JJ up longer term like many of us had actually been advocating for at the time.

I never said you said wanted him gone, I just tried to explain why others could have been left with the opinion that was your stance. It's based on what I described and have now quoted some of here, lying about what actually happened isn't going to change the reality of the situation...

I was always, always, always in favor of signing Jefferson to the contract he agreed to today. You said I made a massive switch. I never called Jefferson a selfish diva. Maybe in an ongoing post I left out the word IF. You claim I called him a selfish Diva without the IF qualifier. I quickly acknowledged that was a WRONG choice of words even with the IF qualifier. Those are the ways you misrepresented me. 
What you're doing with Norseman he was talking about the $35 million to $40 million range. Jefferson signed at exactly $35 million. You could cut him some slack. He has on other occasions than the one you're harping on said market value is fine and $35 million is obviously market value. You're choosing disagreement over the common ground that you, Norseman and I are all happy with.

I said you made a massive shift because you did lol. You even just admitted that you took back what you were previously saying. I never claimed that you never wanted him back or anything like that. I referenced the diva/selfish thing because it did happen. You already admitted you made some statements without the if and said if true he was a diva etc. as well. Can you please provide a real/specific example of where I misrepresented you (using a quote like I did) because right now you just seem to be upset I pointed out what actually happened. It’s not my fault that route was taken by others including yourself before. I’m just referencing it.

35 being in the range doesn’t change that his actually stance was using tags instead lol. He specifically noted that range is quite the contrast because his route was actually 30M. It’s right in the post. I don’t get this need to deny what was actually said before by you two.
