I became a big fan in the late 90's, but my favorite era was the 2010's. AP was just so fun to watch in the early part of that decade, and then the Vikings actually started to build toward a complete team in 2015. It all started to fall apart in 2018, but most of that decade was a good one.
And now you see why people are hesitant to move on from Cousins. Like it or not, we would've killed for a Kirk Cousins from like '07-'15. Yes, even you! A franchise quarterback who is durable?! Oh yes, we needed that.
AP was ridiculous. Enjoy:
During his first few years, if he got even with the last defender, you knew it was a touchdown. Looking at the highlights now, no idea how he was that fast, being that big. Fun times. Simpler times.
Totally underrated is Harvin. I'm convinced he was actually the better athlete. Heck, I think Peterson said as much himself. Having those two in their prime was something. And guys like Winfield, Allen, the Williams Wall, etc.
...2009 will never not hurt.
2009 doesn't happen if the Vikings were tied down to an average QB, so why would anyone wish for Kirk during that time period?
