As we near the end of week 1, there's several teams that are capable of ending with the worst record in football. Let's follow them as much as we can throughout the season.
#1. Indianapolis Colts (0-1) 9 PF 46 PA
This team is a complete mess without Andrew Luck. Even with him under center, their defense lacks any talent to keep a game close. HC Chuck Pagano forgot who they played in the first week of the season already. Saying in his press conference they got their asses handed to by the 49ers.... Umm, Chuck? You just played the LA Rams, pal.
#2 Houston Texans (0-1) 7 PF 29 PA
I was watching this game for the most part, and boy was this ugly. They did make the right decision at half time to bench Savage, who's a very bad QB, for Watson, who's at least exciting to see on the field. Their OL is clearly in shambles. LT Duane Brown is holding out for a new contract. As a result, they gave up 10 (!!) sacks to the Jaguars.
#3 New York Jets (0-1) 12 PF 21 PA
Frankly, I'm surprised the Jets moved the ball down the field to get a few FGs in their game against the Bills. The Bills are also doing their best to tank this year, but their efforts aren't as strong as the Jets. I can name one Jets player, Matt Forte, and that's just because of fantasy football. This team is a train wreck.
#4 San Francisco 49ers (0-1) 3 PF 23 PA
Here's another team that has very little talent on the offensive side of the ball. Brian Hoyer is going to try and lose as many games as possible before handing over the keys to a new QB. If they keep losing, and fans refuse to show up to Levi's Stadium, did the season really happen?
#5 Arizona Cardinals (0-1) 23 PF 35 PA
This is a sneaky tank team. They just lost David Johnson for the foreseeable future. Carson Palmer is a shell of his former self, and now throws 2-3 INTs a game. Their defense is alright, but the offense without David Johnson is going to look horrible in a few weeks.
Honorable Mentions:
Cincinnati Bengals (0-1) 0 PF 20 PA
Cleveland Browns (0-1) 18 PF 21 PA
