He is still strong and pretty fast but he seems to have lost the ability to cut effectively and burst through the next level, like he did for us for years.

Let the injuries pile up; Peterson might find a team that shows him some more love ... especially if the Saints continue to lose amd said team is still in the hunt.

I'm glad Peterson got stuffed last night, but I'll always have SOME love for the guy. I also didn't hate it that he looked like he wanted to box Payton. That was awesome. lol. Maybe he was having '09 flashbacks regarding some of those ridiculous calls and late/dirty hits. Hate the fricken Saints. Can't wait for them to suck so hard when Brees retires.

As awesome as this is for Diggs, it's sad for our offense. And they showed a stat in the stadium something like Bradford being just the third Vikings QB in history to throw for more than 300 in an opener. Is that right?! Ugh.

Next morning thoughts:

- They may have something in Sammy Sleeves if the OL can continue to give him time. He was making throws last night that we haven't seen since the Brett Favre days.
- Cook is going to make it very easy to forget about Adrian. He had a number of explosive plays yesterday, and I'm excited to see how his year progresses.
- The front 7 on the defense looks MEAN again. Barr had a terrific game and looks like he's ready to step up this year.
- Rhodes looks like the shut down corner the team needs. I'm still skeptical about Waynes/Alexander/Newman.

Great pass rush cures some of the back end woes.
Don't forget the injured new CB/S we picked up(Brock).
Pittsburg will be a much tougher test on the road. Will have a much better read on the club after this game.
