I think that is a great point. Vikes dont have some young studs waiting to emerge. I guess if there is a fleck of hope it would be the defense digests this new scheme and improves, and Thielen and Harrison Smith both find there legs as fresh as they were two years ago. And Jefferson is a game breaker so ride the wave. Other than that? Nope I think this is about as good as this team can get. And the offense really has some firepower now. Which isnt all bad.

Its just there are so few teams that just blow out lesser opponents in the league. The Eagles looked like they could but they came back to normal over the weekend with just a close win.

It didn't work out today, but your team definitely fights. I saw that preseason and now. As undermanned as your roster is, that says a lot. Truthfully, that game shouldn't have been close, especially after our big lead. Get some playmakers and see what happens. Overall, the GM punted on the season, but the players haven't. On a warm afternoon in Minnesota, the Bears stopped being a joke. Justin Fields quit being a punchline. A laugher turned into a nail-biter.

The Bears didn’t win in a rare pre-December trip to play the Vikings, but a 29-22 loss was … a moral victory? Well, not quite. But it wasn’t an existentially painful loss either. The Bears, as they’re currently constructed, should exist somewhere in the middle. A scrappy team that will lose more than it wins. The kind of team that should feel angry about a few plays that didn’t go its way.

The Bears didn’t carry the weight of heavy expectations going into the season. “Win some and lose the rest with dignity” was the general vibe outside of Halas Hall.

Going into this game, the Bears’ record of 2-2 felt earned, but the way they went about their business for the first month of the season had elicited familiar feelings of dread around Chicago. “Insult stats” about Fields and the offense were hard to avoid and easy to find. The run defense was a joke. Coaches were starting to say things that raised eyebrows.

The Bears needed a break, and the bye week doesn’t come for months.

For much of the first half, it was #LOLBears. And then things changed. The Bears woke up. There are a lot of games left, but after losses to the Packers and the Giants sandwiched around an uninspiring win over the Texans, a blowout loss to a flawed divisional rival could’ve snowballed into something untenable.

So if we’re looking for silver linings, Fields threw for a season-high 208 yards (on 15-for-21 passing), the run defense held up (mostly) and the coaches were more aggressive than we’ve seen in trying to steal a win on the road.

The reactions in the locker room were mixed.

That was the most nothing burger "block in the back" I've ever seen, and it was sold nicely by Dantzler. In other words, Dantzler made ISM lose the game twice xD. That run by Fields was identical to the one Vick had against us in 2002, minus the OT.
