Statistical accolades for regular season awards (MVP) mean nothing. Lead us to an SB win Mr. Cousins so Reignman could put that elusive Lombardi in the infamous trophy case. Then, and only then, will you be mentioned in the same sentence as a Brady, Wilson, or Rodgers!!

Maybe Wilson and Rodgers because they are 1 hit wonders. He'll need 6 or 7 before I mention his name in the same sentence as Brady's. And now its time for a good old belly laugh. *loling*

Good luck with that. It’s a popularity award. Nothing else. The fact that Josh Allen is still in the conversation proves it.

How in the world does that prove it? He is top 5 in most passing categories on top of what he does with his legs. If the season ended today he wouldn't win it obviously with how Mahomes or even Hurts are playing, but he should still at least be in the conversation.

You are barking up the wrong tree with this one. MVP is not like the pro bowl game where players get in based on name recognition. MVPs win MVPs because they put up the best numbers while helping their team win, which is why QBR predicts the MVP so often.

Cousins hasn't/won't win MVP because he has never won enough and put up good enough numbers to win it. Not because he is unpopular. If he had 28 TDs like Mahomes instead of 14 right now he absolutely would be in the lead for MVP, regardless of how most fans feel about him.

Ever notice how the MVP is almost always a QB and not one of the people he throws the ball too? Cousins as NFL MVP? He isn't even the MVP on the team. That would be Jefferson. But I wonder, where would Mahomes be without Kelce?

It's more than that, Rodgers is missing throws he used to hit and is not playing well in the clutch like he used to. The team as a whole is also playing worse, and wins are a factor even though I know you don't like that.

Well, Mahomes has been completely fine without Tyreek Hill, who is busy proving how good he is with a QB who isn't on Pat's level. Problem is, receivers without a good QB don't produce much, so how can they win games? A great example is Panthers WR DJ Moore, who could easily be putting up 1000+ yard seasons with a better QB, but instead has been stuck with terrible QBs like Mayfield, Walker, and Darnold.

It goes without saying that players need other players to support them to help them win the MVP award, otherwise there would be no point.
