Who did Sloter look like a legit QB against? 3rd and 4th stringers? People that are most likely on practice squads or on their couches at home? Good for him.

That doesn't answer anything. If that's the best method then every single QB is still qualified to be on your roster. Why was Heinicke cut? Based on your method there is no difference between Heinicke and Sloter. Why did we bother cutting Heinicke and then immediately go after Sloter? I'll ask for the 3rd or 4th time, how do you determine which QB gets a chance at being a starter on your football team if you're ignoring preseason?

Sloter was a pickup because of a numbers game in Denver.

They immediately went after Sloter because of injury situation with Teddy, and they needed a 3rd string QB.

QB is his natural position (meaning he played it until he got juked in college)....he is not a project...he's a prospect
makes throws into tight windows
displays accuracy on the run
has a very live arm
great pocket presence
has a knack for finding the endzone....this is critical IMO.

he is, without a doubt IMO, the best all around QB prospect this team has had since Culpepper.

please keep him and see what he has.

Sure, if Sloter is the guy who carries a tablet on the sideline this season and next, go for it. I don't realistically see him getting any chance to play unless Teddy, Sam, and Keenum are all injured. Or if the team is out of the playoff picture.

We believe it did, however it is unlikely we will ever know for sure. I fully expect the situation to be "settled" not in the courts but in Rick's office with Teddy's agent. If Teddy comes roaring back, expect a long term extension. If he does anything less, expect a new one or two year contract with performance incentives. In no scenario will we be forking out huge guaranteed money with $25M+ per year.

So how comfortable are you going into 2018 with Bridgwater and Sloter as your QBs? I'm seriously curious here... or do you bite the bullet and get Cousins?

I doubt anybody would be comfortable with that scenario at this point. That said, we may know a lot more by the end of this season. We hopefully will see Teddy back on the field and performing well. In the unfortunate scenario where Keenum gets injured, we may even see Sloter in real game action.

I think the most likely scenario is that we retain Teddy and Sloter, but look for other opportunities. If Case returns (consistently) to week 3 form, then resigning him may be an option. If not, then the draft may be an option (although, historically a lousy option for a playoff contender). The Cousins scenario makes me very nervous (as it should any team who invests $30M a year in a QB), but it may be time to bet the farm. I'm glad I don't have to make that decision.

LOL come on man, I get that you've committed yourself to completely dismissing everything about preseason, but you're in just as much denial as Teddy supporters if you think there's no difference between Heinicke and Sloter.

We definitely can't go into next year with just Teddy and Sloter. I would even be greatly disappointed if it were Keenum, Teddy, and Sloter. We need an upgrade over both Teddy and Keenum so I would target a high quality FA.

Is the goal to win Super Bowls or to just keep going one-and-done lol? I think some of you enjoy our annual race for the 6th seed. I'm tired of 9-7 and having to hold onto the edge of my seat every game. I want us to go 14-2 and win most games by 2 or 3 TD's for a change. Besides, maybe next year it's the elite defenses turn to get bit by the injury bug. Gotta be elite on both sides of the ball to have the best chance of competing for those Lombardi's every year.
