Pros - high level
1) Incredibly accurate when he makes the throw
2) Elite execution
3) Excellent in play action
Cons - high level
1) Takes long reads
2) Tends to panic when the play breaks down taking the easy out way too often.
3) Not one to take charge of the offense.
I'm sure those lists can be a bit longer, but that's off the top of my head.
I'd say most of the cons are something that can be covered for. Hopefully KOC has a plan for that. Oline improvement should help with the first con and hopefully put him in the second option less. The 3rd is the wild card. He's a smart guy from what I read, so it's about time he starts using it and audibles plays based on the defensive look. He's been in the league long enough to have seen most everything.
Kevin will let Kirk know what he sees that he could be doing different and even if its in a friendly joking manner telling more to take those chances downfield and trust his arm. The guy is a robot, Kevin just needs to reprogram him a little. I think youll see the best version of Kirk this year and youll be able to tell whether this thing is worth hanging onto anymore.
