Just because it's not max value doesn't mean it wasn't better for the team long term.
2 separate arguments. Right now all we can do is talk about the value. It's a red herring to even try to bring long term into the discussion. Besides, all the possible "what ifs" cancel each other out. What if Williams is a bust and our picks are pro bowlers? What if Williams is the next Moss and our picks are busts? Nobody knows.there you go again trying to spin your logic wheel and think you've won an argument by sheer volume and attrition while sprinkling in misused logical fallacies like strawman and red herrings.
the argument is whether he made the team better with the trade or by not making it. You've said to hang up the phone next time you get a similar offer. You're the one who made them the same argument by bringing that up. Yet the counter is that he actually made the team better by doing what he did which is the goal. What is irrelevant or a red herring is to take into account anything to do with who Detroit picked.
the Sloter thread is a great example of what you're doing now. Spinning things round and round yet what you're really doing is just trying to outlast everyone. People are comfortable with their premise. We all eventually just give up and let you believe that you're right even though we know you're not. Sometimes we'll chime in if we've got an hour to kill. Just think, with your ability to reason and your understanding of logic, you could have done so many things. There are a lot of horrible diseases out there. You could have cured them by now.
