I get that people were disappointed with the lack of value on that first round trade. I think there was capital left on the table with that one. I just don't understand the snap judgement on the individual players. If they end up with some nice depth and rotational guys from rounds 4-7, isn't that pretty good?

Honest question. Do you think we are a better team after these past three days? Do you think the players we took will translate to more wins the next few years? Did we draft any 'difference makers'?

Now take a look at the drafts of the Lions and Packers and answer those same questions.

I have no freakin' clue. I think and hope so. I look at a bunch of teams drafts and see players that were highly rated by various sites where I think some teams did well but I don't know. No one has stepped on an NFL field yet. I'll let you know in 2-3 years. To get all worked up at this point is just cray cray. I would encourage you to go back and look at draft history and compare what was thought at the time of the draft and compare it to actual results.

I'll throw out a few examples at some point. But in the meantime, just go and sort the top rated players by position and look at where they were drafted.

My biggest take away would be to let it play out. The current crew has had months not years. Let them do their thing for at least a bit (like 2-3 years). If it doesn't work out then you can go back to rocking in the corner. Otherwise, let the sun shine a bit and make an effort to look at how what we did could work as opposed to how it might not. Just my opinion.

I didn't really follow him but I was listening to a podcast and they mentioned his issue is that he doesn't care for hang time and just tries to boom it max distance instead.

Nwangwu ran for 30 yards on three carries against the Bears in Chicago, otherwise he had 14 touches and 40 yards from scrimmage. Nwangwu showed little to make me believe he will ever be more than a KR...he doesn't have to be.

But, you still need more than two RBs on your roster and Chandler is an actual RB, a guy who had decent production in the SEC and then exploded at UNC last season. Yes, ideally this year he sees no more than mop up duty in a game or two, but with injuries in the NFL, he may need to carry the ball 15 times in a game at some point.
I would be far more comfortable with him in that role than either Nwangwu or the guy who carried the ball 100 times last preseason whose name I have forgotten.

We have 4 more players to add and Kwesi already had a great free agency IMO. I don't know what the hell everyone expects. This aint Madden and we have taken some awesome football players at areas of need.

Lets be excited about our new players and actually talk about how they can contribute to the success of the team. Looking forward to who we add today as we still need some depth.

I agree, the bashing of Kwesi is getting old and tiring

Maybe but really we sh*t on Rick and he was legitimately one of the better GM's in football for 15 years... And at this point I'd rather the fan base just be mad and pissed off.

We have no super bowls and that has to change. We should give nobody slack and nobody the benefit of the doubt going forward.

Sure Kwesi has looked like a dope now multiple times, does that mean he's going to be an epic failure? not necessarily. The draft is a crap shoot. You can make the biggest blunder and the player can just do well and work itself out...

Someone said above that they hope he's fired after this year... I actually hope we are all wrong and that he's here for a decade winning super bowls.

But for the first few months on the job he looks too inexperienced. At the same time we've kept Rick's team and I think we can be okay while Kwesy gets his feet wet and should get better at the job with time. Like anybody on any job.
