how you can even feel comfortable making that assumption at this point?
I get that people were disappointed with the lack of value on that first round trade. I think there was capital left on the table with that one. But as far as the assumptions you're making about the actual players drafted, I find that extremely knee jerk when not a single player from this draft has seen an NFL locker room. I'm not saying I think the Vikings killed it but I do see a lot of very interesting players for various reasons.
I just don't understand the snap judgement on the individual players. If they end up with some nice depth and rotational guys from rounds 4-7, isn't that pretty good?
Now take a look at the drafts of the Lions and Packers and answer those same questions.
I'll throw out a few examples at some point. But in the meantime, just go and sort the top rated players by position and look at where they were drafted.
My biggest take away would be to let it play out. The current crew has had months not years. Let them do their thing for at least a bit (like 2-3 years). If it doesn't work out then you can go back to rocking in the corner. Otherwise, let the sun shine a bit and make an effort to look at how what we did could work as opposed to how it might not. Just my opinion.
