2022 Draft Thread - Round 1 Discussion

1. Gardner-higher floor than Stingley. Only a slightly lower ceiling.

2. Stingley-All Pro potential. Lower floor due to health and drop off in production last 2 years.

3. Thibodeaux-All this crap about his Alpha Personality. Whatever. Higher ceiling than any Edge except for Walker. Lower floor than Hutch and probably Johnson but 100% worth the risk.

4. Hamilton-Unique chess piece. Floor might be a little lower than Gardner. Still higher than Thibs or Stinger. DC needs to know how to use him correctly, which I trust Donatell to do. Slow run times slightly concerning.

5. Williams-best separation of any WR in this Draft by a huge margin. And that's saying something considering how many could go in Round 1. Floor a little lower due to that ACL and running a more limited Route Tree. But man, how do you double JJ and leave this kid 1 on 1 with no Safety help? I rag on Cousins a lot but he throws a honey of a deep ball and this kid is literally designed to go and get it.

But this is all a Trap. Like Admiral Akbar level 'It's a Trap!'. No way these uber plugged in reporters and successful mockers are right. Vikings fans can't have nice things. It's in our DNA. Even if one is there at #12 Minnesota will find a way to break our hearts.

That's why I scheduled Band Practice for tonight. I'd rather play Rush at Volume 11 than watch Kwesi destroy my opinion of him.
