79 = DE Perrion Winfrey, Okla, (age 21.5) - Day 1 starter? He doesn't need to be a stud, just add more burst & quickness and help the Defense stop the frickin' run.

The trades would also change day 3 and give them 2 x 5R (156, 171) and 2 x 6R (184, 191). I have had enough 7th rounders for a couple of years. But here is a good spot to pick up the depth and development guys at TE, RB, S, and maybe a 2nd CB.

Isnt Strange a lot like Bradburried in being a lateral dancer more than being able to anchor against big strong guys? Just asking.

Part of Garrett's problem is his Baby T-Rex Arms. He's actually got the same weight as the average of the Top 10 Centers in the League. And he put up great bench reps at the Combine.

But when larger DTs can get their mitts on you first you're going to need to be able to counter with either perfect technique or Elite Size/Strength. Bradbury will never have Elite Size/Strength. His technique can certainly improve considering all the sh*t coaching he's had during his Vikings career.

Strange doesn't have arm length issues. 33 vs. 31.75. And put up only 3 less reps despite having longer arms. And he's actually got a better Composite Agility RAS than Bradbury. There's just a lot to like here. But it all starts with the arm length for me.

According to Dane Brugler's scouting report, Strange does seem to have "anchor issues" and "problems with footwork in pass protection", but I still like his fit in our ZBS as a guard. I do wonder if his age (24 in July) would be a deterrent for KAM.

Arm length matters or it wouldn't be such a huge factor when evaluating Players. That's just a fact.

It's so hard to predict who will work out and who won't, so you look at those who've been successful versus those that haven't and Scouts and GMs over decades have determined that some attributes such as arm length are very important.

Don't they literally say it's a game of inches?

I am dreading hearing announcers says 'Rodgers completed that pass just over the outstretched fingers of McDuffie' for the next few years as much as I've hated hearing 'Bradbury just got bulldozed by Kenny Clark again'.

Longer arms would help both Players. Just in different ways.

Round 2) Help for the secondary. I know I'm gambling here most of the guys I like are projected to be gone by 47. Booth and Elam will probably go in the 1st. In order: Kyler Gordon, Jalen Pitre (play him in a 3 safety nickle). It it takes a 5th to move up a bit to get Pitre, OK. Give up a 3rd to get one of those CBs, even better.

Round 3) Or wherever the next pick is if moving around to get a CB happens. IOL or D Line depth. This will depend more on what pick is left than a specific player target.

Reach advantage when in hand to hand conflict is huge. Bradburried benches well due to his short arms no doubt, not necessarily all strength. What does he deadlift is what i would ask. Coming out of your stance with the hips under you for power is huge at close range too.

I thought about that as well, but since IOLs usually have longer careers than other positions, it may not figure into the drafting process as much for KAM. I also like your thought of Strange competing for the RG spot, it's a better fit. IDK, maybe change that pick to Dylan Parham in the 3rd. While I'd pick an IOL in the 3rd, I'd also grab another OL on day 3. I kind of like the idea of a true OC in Luke Wattenberg of Wash. Luke has some anchor issues (seems like most college OCs do this year), but he has a very high football IQ and solid technique overall which makes him a decent candidate for a day 3 pick.

As for Bradbury, sounds like they aren't going to pick up his 5th year, but it's projected to be #13M+ and that's way to rich for any NFL OC. I think, Brian Allen only resigned for a 4 year, $4M average, varies in year amounts. The Vikings could be thinking in terms of those lines next year with Garrett if he improves this year. Speaking of, anyone else think it was a good idea for them to bring in Chris Reed (another short arm guy). Reed is a guy who could help teach Bradbury better technique and anchoring literally through experience.

I hit the like button and then immediately retracted it when you mentioned giving up a 3rd to move for a Booth or Elam.

Last year I made the fatal mistake of buying into all the 1 Year FA additions and didn't look at who was playing behind them if they got hurt. And it seems like they all did with the exception of Woods. And his play went from Top 10 Safety to Barf right around the halfway mark.

So here's where I'm at with this year's Team. Who steps in if either of the 30+ year old ILBs gets hurt? Who steps in if either Edge gets hurt? Or if Harrison gets hurt?

There's more depth holes than picks already. I don't see Surratt/B. Lynch being anything but a Below Replacement Level Player. Same with any of the baby Edges (Wonnum, Jones, Robinson, Willekes). Or Metellus at Safety.

A CB is a must given the injury history of Dantzler and Peterson being 32 and having hamstring issues last year. Unless Kwesi signs somebody or somebodies. But I'm not sacrificing my 3rd and the chance to fill another depth void on the Roster to move up for anyone, and that includes Stingley.

And it's not just better depth for injuries. It's also future replacements for Peterson, both Smiths, Hicks and Kendricks, Thielen. Maybe even Hunter and Tomlinson.

It can't all be done this offseason. But this is a deep Draft. Good Players will be available in the 3rd and even into the early 4th. I don't look at Booth or Elam as being so good I give up the chance at a Chenal or Strange or Bonnito or a Safety.

I'm not really going to pound the table for any of them - whatever the real scouts say there, I'll support (but I do like Pitre and Gordon). The point was the the 3rd rounder is used for moving around to get the guy they want. I don't think it would entirely go away, maybe move down or turn into a 4th. Our 2 + 3 actually gets the Vikings back into the 1st, so there should be some change.

He is smallish for a LB but has a relentless motor and great athleticism. In a 3-4 scheme he will be a good fit.
