Will your opinion change at all if this team notches 8-9 and 9-8 records or worse the next two years?

Maybe I'm just speaking for myself, but a couple of mediocre seasons the next two years doesn't change much for me. And personally I don't think it's all that damaging to where they could be in 2024 if they went 6-11 in those two years instead. Frankly I think we'd see Jefferson get massively frustrated and bail in two years.

And what the difference in draft position? A couple of slots each year? So maybe we're 9 instead of like 14? Meh. (Although I would like to be 9 this year instead of 12.)

Not having Kirk's money would be nice for FAcy this year. And maybe a couple draft picks. Maybe that helps us get to 8-9 those two years lol. And then welcome to QB hell again unless we finally hit pay dirt in the draft.

I guess my point is that I feel like 8-9 or 9-8 is about the worst it's gonna be the next couple years whereas doing it the no Kirk way and that's about the best.

I'm all Herm Edwards... I play to win. If we tanked for 2 years then is the coach and GM deserving of year 3??? There would be questions.

I'd rather over perform expectations and say yeah we got good management then when we "age out" a bunch of vets build the next generation of Vikings football... With cap room that would take years to spend.

One thing we don't talk about is how amazing Rhodes was and how fast he fell off. Maybe the Zimmer system works best with one absolutely beast corner. For 1 year only Rhodes was the best in the game.

The guarantees/bonuses/clauses/etc make it all vapor-math in any case, so all I really see is that Cousins is guilty of wanting contracts with less nebulous BS in them...oh, wait, like some other sports enjoy.

It's really kinda fuggin' draining when every corner of internet/web/social media is a bunch of so-called Vikings fans showing their 'resolve' by whining, b***hing, and quitting on the incoming regime barely weeks in. No draft yet, no camps, merely a few contracts and press conferences...that's IT...and this thread is one of dozens (hundreds?) all repeating the same dribble.

It's fuggin' March 20th, kidies. Our offensive weapons look to be intact. The feared Hunter departure didn't happen, and some cap flexibility might still be in the cards. We have a coach that isn't a "Sour Patch Senior" and a new GM that'll definitely care what the tangible results bring...

Kirk Cousins will never win a Super Bowl. The Vikings will not win a Super Bowl as long as the Wilfs own the team.

I swear this to you, these things are facts, and I have zero doubt in my mind that any improvements will be made on the magnitude that propels this team to a championship. It's not an exaggeration. You're deluded, you want to believe the team is better than they are, but they are not.

People can have whatever opinions they like, but I'm 100% certain of those two things. Write all the long posts containing whatever speculation you want. It doesn't matter. The Vikings aren't winning sh*t until Cousins is gone and the Wilfs sell the team to someone who knows what they are doing. As it stands, the Wilfs want to make money, not win a championship, and their proclamation about competitive football only proves this.

Anyone who gives a f*ck about a world championship would say as much, and emphatically so.

Simple fact: no QB has ever WON BY HIMSELF. Without the blocking, the receiving, the game planning...it doesn't happen. That myth needs to get murdered.

3. Hunter's health is a concern, I figured he'd be traded. Again, we'll find out. I'm not a doc, and the team can afford pretty amazing ones.

4. Until the FAs play, don't pretend to know what they'll do...unless you can prove time travel. Until then, that statement is meaningless, speculative babble.

5. None of us know what was tried, as most of the unsuccessful trade/contract attempts don't get reported. See #4.

6. Either prove telepathy, prove that you have the Wilf's diaries, or just admit that you like talking s**t about what people think with nothing to back it up...in other words, telling petty little lies.

Given your record with the above points, it sounds like you're just determined to talk smack about things not going your way. I'm gonna wander back over with the real, functional fans, thanks.

Lol the great cb whisperer, I gotta give you that one what bs. He lead us to the nfc championship game before cousins came in though. Once cousins had been here 4 years basically everyone got fired not just him. The defense probably could have used a bit more talent but unfortunately once Kirk got here we let talent go and never had the cap to replace it. We chose to put our chips in on a qb that isn’t really a difference maker.

Kirk has had shannahan to coach and even mccvay as a coordinator. He only has one playoff win and it was for zimmer not anyone else no matter what is said. That’s the high of his career while on their end only going that far once got them fired. All that goodwill initially gone due to disappointment since him. You were the one that pointed out those around him like hc likely know. Rumor is the hc that knew him openly complained about him and didn’t want that salary on the team.

I don’t think Rhodes was the best any year. I never liked him. He could never get his head around and find the ball.

2017. Go check his match ups. He shut down so really good WRs and made OBJ at his peak consider quitting football...
