Danielle Hunter is old, too injury prone and should 110 percent be traded when he's close to trade value peak. Vikings hold onto old people that get injured a bunch and never punch out on them at the top of their market value. Quit being p***ies, he missed a whole season and 10 games last year and the Vikings were still second in team sacks with 51. You don't even need to get greedy, getting second round picks and shedding his money to beef up the o line and the defensive secondary is better. Danielle Hunter has fallen off and wants top money, f*ck that.
27 is old? Then WTF are Chandler Jones and Von Miller?
By every stat under the sun Minnesota's Defense regressed when Hunter tore his pec. The sacks came from Zimmer blitzing more often after it happened, which hurt the back half of the Defense.
Most sacks by age 25. Ever. Two completely unrelated injuries. Z Smith is a hot commodity and he just missed a full season.
The injury stuff is overblown. Joey Bosa missed massive chunks of 2 seasons. The Bolts never thought about moving him. Trent Williams struggled to stay healthy the first half of his career. Now he's the best O-Lineman in Football.
Move Hunter because he's pissed at the organization for not letting him have neck surgery sooner and because they are likely unwilling to meet his contract demands and frankly could use the money. But don't give him away for nothing. That's irresponsible no matter how you look at it.
I can make an argument that the Danielle Hunter when healthy is the most dynamic pass rusher in football. He's our best player on defense and it's not even close.
