LOL, I'm not ancient but the super bowls just started in 1967. That doesn't sound that far back to me. The years do fly by though. It is sad reflecting upon how many of those great players from back in the day, are no longer alive now. I just came in from working in my workshop... I do woodworking for a hobby and I'm making a set of bedroom furniture pieces for our bedroom... anyway I was listening to the music from the '50s and 60s and it hit me that almost all of those artists are dead now. That is soooooo hard to believe.
The Bears won the championship (pre SB era) in 1963 and then the wheels came off until the 1980's. They have been trying to get a great QB forever and failed. Jim McMahon was decent but was made of glass - always injured. Other than that it's been a bunch of wannabees. I look at what you have in Kirk Cousins and I get it that he's not a great QB. But he is plenty good enough to win it all with if the GM and coaches can build the rest of the team to where it needs to be. For those wanting Cousins gone I've thought to myself that old saying, "be careful what you wish for... you may just get it." A team can languish in QB hell for decades. Drafting a QB better than Kirk Cousins is not easy.
Out of curiosity... is your name Jeff?
I'm Dave :-)
