It's interesting to see how all of these people Paul Allen personally attests to as being excellent turn out are not good people.
I have no firsthand knowledge of Sugarman's performance or behavior. But I got the impression he worked to maximize the credit he received for a few success stories, especially the recovery of Adrian Peterson, and dodged responsibility for issues like Sharrif Floyd. I'm very leery of personnel who claim credit for the success of players who are clearly rare freak-of-nature athletic talents. It's a bit like the way Zimmer supporters always cite Deion Sanders among his credits. IMO Sanders had such talent and drive that he would have succeeded with anyone coaching him, and by the same token, Peterson's genetic makeup and drive to rehab had more to do with his recovery than anything else. Impress me by helping the modest players become exceptional..
