First Move of the Off-Season

I was a very vocal critic of the way they were doing things as well as the tiresome verbage we constantly received from all areas of the organization. But I really feel the urge to watch and see what is done, not just what is said, at least for a while. Look at what they DID so far:
1. Fired Zimmer. This started to become a foregone conclusion, but they could have relented.
2. Fired Spielman. I have wanted him gone for 5 years and even as the end of Zimmer became fairly evident, I thought Rick had at least a 50% chance of survival. Listen to the stuff Spielman is spinning in the media since: he definitely tried the same scapegoating and blame redirection with the Wilfs. They didn't buy it, so they get a lot of credit from me.
3. They replace the ENTIRE STAFF. Do you see Andre Patterson, Kubiak Jr. or Zimmer Jr. or any of the other leftovers? No - though I have no doubt they all begged for their jobs, claimed they were not part of the problem or bad culture, and there were members of the local press advocating for some. EVERYON is gone, fresh start with the staff.

Now, is it a "clean sweep" with Cousins still here? I guess not, but moving players takes longer than other personnel. TBH, even if we have to hang onto Cousins for the last year of his contract, I'll say they did more to change this organization than I expected. Given what they have done so far, I would not assume any players are safe either.

The bold folks who went “other”!! It is a little surprising that we’re a few days away from the start of the legal tampering period and there’s been no decisions.

The new regime is taking their time.
