We always seemed sold out?? and was always reportedly one of the loudest stadiums in the league. As someone who was there then and left with ears ringing I agree.
How many local TV blackouts them years? Tickets bought in bulk by corporations...sure but there was butts in seats and electric. Especially for Bears games then. Packers weren't much of a thought and they sure weren't there.
Also went to games at the old Met as well. The point I'm making is the Packers weren't taking up half the seats in Minnesota on my watch.
Why have they traveled so well since? They've been spoiled by 3 decades of HOF play.

I was gone before the start off the 1988 season.  Yes I knew corporations were buying tickets but it didn't change the environment there.
If your point is there's nothing better do to in Green Bay I agree.

Seen Randy live in Tampa. Haven't been to a home game in Minnesota since the 1989 Christmas night MNF season finale against the Bengals. Win and in game. That place was rocking. No Magic Man miracle for the Puckers that night. They had to sit at home and cry.
