So much love for Harbaugh. Just curious about why?
Fans didn't want an old guy.
Fans didn't want a retread.
Fans didn't want a college coach.
Fans didn't want drama.
Fans didn't want a jerk.
What changed?
Outside of this past season, wasn't the Harbaugh era in Michigan largely a disappointment - or do I have that wrong?
What makes a guy like Harbaugh more desirable than Pederson?
Take it from a die-hard UM fan. The Hbaugh tenure was close to being a near fail. After the MSU loss this year, 90% of the UM faithful wanted his head. But, in less than two months, he managed to turn it all around.
But....this was college. Many of his 4 and 5 stars turned out to be avg. He didn’t find good QB play until this year. And.....he was competing against the #2 program in the country and losing the recruiting battle. These are issues he won’t face in the NFL. What he did do, was win. He won with some rotten rosters. He got us to the CFP with avg players at every position. Not exaggerating. Up and down our roster there are avg to above avg dudes. If he can get rid of Kendricks and Cousins and replace with cheaper, but better guys in these two spots, we will be in NFCCG next year.
