I said that a coach should expect to be accountable for personnel decisions. At no point did I say they shouldn't have any say in them. That would be ludicrous.

What Pederson did was bench the starting QB in the 4th quarter of a one possession game and start the QB3 to spite the owner. The Eagles lost of course and Pederson got fired.

Sounds like something Zimmer would do imo. I don't want more of the same.

The professional thing to do is set your minimum requirements, which it sounds like the Wilfs already have, and interview everyone that meets those criteria that expresses interest. Which is how the real world works.

I think there are far more qualified guys like Peterson and Leftwich that have less surface negatives are just more well spoken and as crazy as it sounds have better mannerisms... Maybe that's just my sales background but I built a great company identifying quality customers in under 10 seconds solely based on reading mannerisms my same gut instinct says the first 2 guys got it and Bieniemy don't. Just a hunch but it rarely failed me in the past.
