Now that regime change is here...any chance we'll find out what happened in Vikings practice the day Teddy Bridgewater's knee blew up?
When it happened, all discussion of what occurred on the practice field was hushed. No video was released.
I know, we were told it was a "freak accident". Like spontaneous combustion? OK...he's just backpedaling and his knee joint ruptured explosively. It was so bad his tibia and femur bones became separated (tibiofemoral dislocation), almost tore his lower leg off. Google tells me this is typically caused by a powerful direct impact to the knee, most often in a car accident. But Teddy's was caused by backpedaling?
It's a bit fishy. IMO it was a coverup to protect something. Maybe we'll never know.
My theory? Adrian Peterson effed up and stomped Teddy's knee or something. We know both were on the field, and Brett Favre has said that Peterson often didn't know where he was supposed to be on blocking plays. Allegedly they were practicing a play-action pass. Anyone else have a good explanation?
Maybe everyone involved is still going to be motivated (or compensated) to keep quiet. But maybe the "fear-based organization" is going away now and some dirty laundry will get aired.
