Can you tell us how many reps Mond has with the first team in 17 weeks? For that matter, how many reps with the second team? Or was he just used to imitate the opposing QB for the defense? You must know this if you claim he's a bust.
You're comparing Mond to Favre.
It doesn't matter how many reps he had if he hasn't learned the playbook in a year.
Also, his NFL potential isn't great if he can't throw with any accuracy. Did you watch his three plays last night, or just the first two?
Quit trying to twist an obvious bust of a draft pick into a Zimmer coaching issue.
Bears and Lions would love to have had a coach who beat Aaron Rodgers as much as Zimmer has.
At tale of two QB's. Below are the numbers for two historical QB's the first one, Cut right because he sucks. I mean he can't be any good. The second one. Yeah, he's okay. Compared to todays completion percentages, yeah, not good.

Here's the thing, It's the same QB, different coach. That first set of numbers is Bart Starr's first 5 years of playing in the NFL. The second set is his next 7. This includes 5 championships in those 7 years. The difference, the second 7 he had Lombardi as his coach. Sometimes it's not the player that's the bust, it a coach who can't get the best out of his players.
Who's the bust here? Mond, or Zimmer?
I'm not saying Mond is the next Starr or Favre, The question is how do you really know if they never get to play in a game? You know apparently, somehow, that he is a bust based on three plays.
And you still have not listed the QB the Vikings should target in thise years draft. After all, you're the expert.
