Kirk to Pittsburgh? Trade Cousins?

They had some of Goffs money on the books so yes technically I think 43 million or something was paid to both Goff and Stafford, that's the only reason to even entertain what he is trying to compare, he may not have even known that lol

I would recommend reading my post above but Ill speak some that into here. I would bring in Fitzpatrick, Mariota, Winston, even Tribusky while I see if Mond is my future or I draft a guy this year or next year. Anyone of those first 4 guys is capable of getting to 8 or 9 wins which is what you seem to be so scared of losing in Kirk. While they would be at least 20 million cheaper were I can spend that money somewhere else to improve a mediocre team. If its not Kirks fault, then he clearly cant overcome this bad team why would you pay him top $?

No those QBs I mentioned arent as good as Kirk, but there is only a handful of QBs that I would pay top $ for and Kirk is not one of them. The "market" value is for rookie QBs who havent gotten paid yet not for 34 year olds who we know who they are lol It is a team game it always will be, The vikings team is not there. The QB position is often talked about the most important position, but everything has a price and value. Im actually glad Kwesi is our GM because I refuse to believe he will get fooled. I will eat my words if so, but I do not see Kwesi handing Kirk a lucrative extension that he thinks hes going to bully the Vikings into. I think they will come to Kirk and see if he wants to win a super bowl he can easily show Kwesi and Kevin that by taking less money which I would be fine for. I dont hate Kirk I could see him winning here but it has to be at the right price which is exactly how I see this being played out. If Kirk doesnt want that he can take his 45 million this year and walk, I dont think the Vikings are afraid of doing that. 

Exactly how I see this playing out unless we get a crazy trade offer. If im Kwesi, no way im putting my bet on Kirk thats for sure. Im going out swinging with my own guy I picked not a 34 year old .500 QB. It makes no sense not to pick your own guy in this situation. New HC new GM. Build your own product its that simple. 

Kirk has never cost more than $35M per year.

Everything depends on your value of him. If you can get good value, I think they will trade him. But Jason OTC just said on his podcast that he thought the value for Kirk factoring in his contract situation was 2 3rd round picks. Using that thought plus or minus a little bit of compensation would make me doubt they bother trading him. I would argue they still should but would ownership sign off on dumping Cousins for 2 picks at the level where the casual fan wouldn’t know the guys you drafted? The new leadership will trade him if they win the trade imo, not just trade him to move on.

It is their choice which QB they put out on the field to make their first impression as team leaders.  "I guess we should keep Cousins for a year" is a clear & enthusiastic vote in favor of Cousins on the part of Adolfo-Mensa and O'Connell.
