Rumors that Jordan Love could net the Packers a 2nd round pick in a QB-needy market. Would make sense to get something for him now that Rodgers is staying.

Does Wentz have any trade value at this point? I just looked at his contract and somebody would likely have to be very desperate. I'm thinking that Indy would have to eat $10M of his $15M guaranteed. That would still have the acquiring team pay him $18M in 2022.

well, for the Vikes it would be a $7M savings for a bridge QB. His last 2 years are voidable (someone informed of that last night on here) with no dead cap hit.  His play last year was hampered by 2 sprained ankles early in the season and a banged up WR Corp. Taylor was the saving grace for that team.  But I stand corrected about this trade idea after I read in the "QB carousal" thread. I doubt Indy would do it since Cousins is also a non-vac guy and the Indy staff isn't keen on that.   

His $15M 2022 base salary became guaranteed March 19 2021, his non guaranteed roster bonus comes due March 19 2022. If they cut him before March 19 they will be on the hook for his $15M base salary, so $15M dead cap and $13.3M cap savings.
However if they trade him that $15M guaranteed base salary goes to the acquiring team, so Indy will be left with zero dead cap and save $28.3M 

So Indy has to ask themselves, do we ship Wentz to Carolina or Washington for a day 3 pick and clear the cap space but have no viable QB on the roster?
Or do we entertain a trade with Minnesota, taking on a $35M contract which gives us a viable QB on the roster who has proven to be exceptionally durable, but will also likely cost a day 2 pick.
