Well we are talking about a bunch of spoiled young kids who have never been told no, many of which navigating life with room temperature IQ's, which they proudly display under their helmets in the form of 30 pounds of unnecessary hair. Imagine a swimmer rocking a fury mane under their swim cap. You'd never see it at the olympics because such a swimmer would never make it. It's especially maddening to see offensive players basically grow handlebars that defenders can use to tackle them, which happened to Cook in the Steelers game. I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often. Where's George Steinbrenner when you need him?

Shouldn't have to tell them not to drive 150MPH while drunk, or not to deal pot from their apartment either, but yeah, I would say you need to treat NFL players like they're 5.

Are we yelling at this generation to get off our lawns? Believe me, I understand that impulse…but not sure it does any good. The defensiveness people now feel about their choice of body decorations (hair length/color, piercings, tattoos, whatever) has reached a point of hostility. Heaven help Zimmer if he asked Cook to get a haircut.

But I think the relevant question is whether he can realistically push any changes to players’ attention to fundamentals of the game, right? IMO his chances are the same as forcing the haircut.

Like you said players play coaches coach. A player plays, but keep in mind the other team is pros to so they will lose some battles... Coaches coach though. We won but do you realize over 1,600 teams in the regular season had a 29 point lead and we the only ones ever in the regular season that the other team had the ball with a chance to score the game tying score at the end. You mix that with how we play end of halves and how we done all year. All that ties in to coaching. Discipline and Situational Management all go back to the coach.

A team that should have 10 wins but don't 6 because their coaching stinks.. We have some players especially on offense but their coach is wack period.

I just acknowledged that he DOES coach through these things. But he coaches, and the players play. They did exactly as expected by design the first half, but not the second half. Nothing to brag about.

It is funny... He has this team underachieving we should be a 10 win team. He not that good of a coach his time has passed. Slow death just like I expected, but death is still coming this year not next not the year after this year. Then we can get a real coach hopefully that can take the team and have us play to our potential. *z-fense*

I don't think Mattison is guaranteed to be out, it's just that the Gallman move makes it seem like it.

Is Chisena really that important? He's only got 3 tackles on the year, and I don't think it would be hard for any UDFA WR or CB with wheels could fill in for him, and possibly function as depth at one of those spots (as opposed to taking up a whole roster spot for a gunner).
