Lol, wrong example, Drank. Did you forget my username?
Warrick was a freak Athlete ala Percy Harvin. But his route running skills were bad. He always depended far more on speed than actual skills. Coles, on the other hand, was a very polished route runner coming out of college.
I wonder if there's something we can get that verifies Garrett's actual lower body strength? He wasn't getting blown up by guys like Dexter Lawrence in college, though he inarguably needed to get stronger.
Better strength and conditioning coach and better position coach are both needed to fix this reclamation project.
Aussie raises an interesting Cost Benefit Analysis question. Will what trading him for equal or exceed the value of the chance for a new regime to turn him around?
Let's say he nets a 6th. You might maybe could use that pick on a Center. For me, I always felt the 6th & 7th Rounds were for Special Teams and deep roster depth. Sure, every Team has a Starter found that late, but the % chance to hit is really low.
On the flip side is his cost. 1st Round Contract off the books AND the percentage chance you hit on that 6th might outweigh the benefit of trying to fix him.
Will be something to watch if/when Rick/Mike get the boot.
It gets to my point that college is a different game and some people game don't translate. Bustfairy played Dexter Lawrence a hand full of times max. He also played at NC State.. Not like they had a pro ready QB throwing from pro sets. Not sure on that I stopped watching college but I don't know if they was a running team or did pass spread.
I do know his strength getting exposed now so we do have that evidence. He has had a few Okay games but more times than not drove back.
We also have the seeing him as the best OL in college and stunting away from him. I read a draft book that had Bradbury not rated so high and said he lacked power. Not getting Sisters of the Mercy games has exposed him. We have evidence of that.
