I was fine with going for it on 4th earlier in the game. It was still 0-0 so there was plenty of time to recover if you don't get it. I even said during the game it was wise because a 7-0 lead has a better chance of taking the 49ers out of the heavy run attack that everyone knew was coming over a 3-0 lead.

Things were a lot different in the 4th quarter, so a FG would have been the wiser decision with 9 minutes to go. That's where Zimmer hurts us. He can't think on the fly. In fact Zim is the Leroy Hoard of head coaches. If you need a decision in 3 minutes, he'll have a decision in 3 minutes, but if you need a decision in 5 seconds, he'll have a decision in 3 minutes.

I agree with your assessment of Zimmer but I dont mind going for it on the 3 or 4 whatever is was to tie the game in the fourth quarter lol gotta play aggressive and I think he has adapted to that finally last few games.

I especially loved the throw by Kirk before halftime out of bounds. Where he got "angry" -- btw, is this his only emotion on the field besides the typical robot-like no-emotion? Someone should tell him, there are other emotions he could exhibit during games.... he shouldn't limit himself to just those two..... here is one, for example: JOY! Have some fkn fun out there........

Then another throw out of bounds (uncatchable) on 4th down out of the endzone.

Then the 2pt conversion attempt.... uncatchable to a wide open receiver (JJ I think).....

Teams that want to run the ball ... should be running the ball much more efficiently than we are. With as great as Cook is, and the money he's making, we should be getting more out of the running game.

Fact: every one of the Teams mentioned has a better Offensive Line overall and specifically in terms of run blocking. And in general better Defenses also.

Rushing starts with the OL. If they don't move guys and create creases the back isn't going anywhere. Cook has been in the league for so long now defenses know his tendencies and the Vikings plan.

If it's the first quarter, sure, go for it. Late in the 4th and you need a TD and a FG? Kick the damn FG. You need to take what's there to extend the game.
