Purple Insider: Vikings can make it make sense by drafting a quarterback

Jesus!
I know Coller suffers from pathological hatred of Cousins like a lot of others, but the premise that picking a bad QB will make everything hunkey-dory is idiotic.
There is not a good QB prospect in this draft.
Malik Willis threw 3 interceptions against Sun Belt Conference teams, multiple times.
Matt Corral plays like a poor man's Josh Allen but is built like a poor man's Baker Mayfield-without the talent of either.
Kenny Pickett apparently can't hold a Whopper, will be 24 before playing a down and did nothing for three years and then exploded in a ACC that stopped playing defense.
Carson Strong, Sam Howell, Desmond Ridder...there maybe a surprise guy who ends up scraping the Goff/Mayfield-ish level, with a modicum of early success, but I doubt even that.
So, passing on a legitimately talented guy-and one will be there at 12, for the next Geno Smith, isn't going to "make it all make sense", it's going to "make it all pretty f*cking stupid", and I don't think KAM and KOC are looking down that road anyway.
I have watched a lot of game film of Pickett, Strong, Willis and Ridder, and while Ridder is garbage and a guy I wouldn't want the Vikings giving up even a 7th for, Picket, Strong and Willis are good prospects. Willis is a better passing version of Jackson who will succeed from day 1 if his HC is willing to run Baltimore's offense (which he will be if he spends the 2nd overall pick on him). Pickett does everything right, and if he can overcome the issues with his hand size will be great in the NFL. Strong, with his arm and ability to make quick reads has the potential to be the best of them all. He also has the potential to not even make a good backup with his limited ability to make plays with his legs and propensity to force passes where he shouldn't.
This batch of QBs does not have the perfect prospect in it, but it also isn't close to being as bad as the 2013 draft class as some make it out to be.
