The Wilfs need to let the GM do what they see fit. I know Mark Wilf said they want to be competitive next year, but Im just hoping hes blowing smoke. If they really think they can be LEGIT competitive next year you are basically carrying on what Rick has tried to do the last few years. I get it Rick and Zim relationship was damaged and the coaching staff in general was holding us back we possibly couldve won a wildcard game, but I still think this team needs to make the big changes for the better of the team in the future. The changes may not please the casual fans if your losing players like Kirk, Harry, Thielen or even Cook but enough is enough we havent won with these guys and they are getting in the back end of there careers. They have already had wasted years, I dont want to hear moving on from Kirk would waste years on them, its already happened and thats why you may need to move on from them all. I get its not going to be easy and who knows if the Wilfs would even allow it. I think those are the big questions that should be coming up in these interviews for GM. Hopefully they assess the team together and are on the same page and the Wilfs could get an honest opinion from them. You look at legit pieces we have to actually build around I think its the two Tackles, maybe even Erza, obviously JJ, Kendricks, and possibly Hunter. Thats not a horrible list but their is a huge question mark in Hunter, and even Kendricks getting up in age. All I can hope is the new GM gets full keys to the team and we dont necessarily have to be competitive in 2022 if thats the best route he sees. The goal should be a Super Bowl, not just shooting to being competitive in 2022.
