He's had 7 full seasons to figure out the NFL has moved on from his absurdly risk averse style, yet he has stubbornly refused to change. If we're being remotely honest here Zimmer didn't deserve to make it out of last season, he's not owed the rest of this season. The fact that as of right now, 11:50AM Central Time he is still employed should be embarrassing to the Wilfs.

Face the facts, the stars upon which this team is built are virtually all aging out of the NFL. There is no chance that further band aid fixes will extend that already closed window of opportunity. It's time to accept the failure of this group and begin planning for the future, a future that doesn't include Zimmer.

It's not all about this one ridiculous loss. Zimmer teams rarely play close, well played football games. They either play close garbage football like last night, or get blown out. When was the last time this team just throttled an opponent? When was the last time they throttled an opponent and didn't lay an egg the next week?

Zimmer should love Kirk, because Zimmer is the HC version of Kirk. Give them the perfect team and they can win, otherwise it's just an exercise in futility.

Dallas, the refs and the fates kept trying to hand Mike Zimmer a win last night and he found a way to reject them all. If that's not giving up I don't know what is.

Diggs is looking smarter and smarter as the weeks go by. And I'm sure JJ is feeling good after his 2 catches for 21 yards in an embarrassing primetime loss. Yesterday's loss has nothing to do with being risk adverse, and I don't think any of the issues on offense this year are the result of that. A good, control the clock offense that Zimmer and most head coaches want has this team 7-0, 6-1, 5-2 at worst.

Instead of that we have an offense that is top 5 in going 3 and out and has one of the lowest times of possession in the NFL.

There's no small measure of the importance of a leader like Adam feeling this way. I don't blame his frustration. I don't know how you can spin those words immediately after into something less damning is the new light of day. I'm sure they will try though.
Being embarrassed on national TV again is something someone here as long as him feels the stings more not less then before.

If being a Viking fan was easy ~ everyone would do it.

I’m not “giving up” I already gave up years ago. There’s a BIG difference. This isn’t a “season” thing. This is a regime that shoulda got the boot years ago thing. A knowing Zimmer can’t cut it in the playoffs against better coaches thing. It’s pointless to make the playoffs to look unprepared coming into the game, watch terrible situational football decisions, boneheaded mistakes, pretty much outcoached in all phases of the game. It would take a perfect team, HOF Qb, and a tiny miracle, and Zim not fn that up, to even GET to a Super Bowl. However you want to spin it he’s not a HC that can put the team on his back and put then in the best position to win. Similar to Cousins lol. We could have a worse HC but I know there’s better out there!

Except that he's not a "bad" coach. He's a good, not great coach. There is only one great coach, and even he is human without the GOAT QB.
