I work next to 4 Packers fans (I can’t believe it took me moving to Texas to be surrounded by Packers fans...) and they’re all reasonable. I very much looked forward to coming into the office today to hear their takes. Unfortunately they’re the reasonable types and said they tuned out by halftime... Aaron Rodgers will be a hot button topic this offseason for them. 37 years old and clearly on the downside of his career! The small sample size of 4 still thinks he can pull off elite games.

Funny how when the spotlight is on the Packers don't get all the favorable calls like they typically do although the ruffing the passer was a little lame that they called on GB but other than that a great game unless you are a packer backer. *GBsux*

Your right Rogers is getting old but still moves great and does not panic.. Would take him any day over 84 Mil

Regardless of what you think about Love, I think the Packers made a mistake. The cap says they're tied to Aaron almost no matter what. They were in the NFCCG last year and instead of looking for that piece to put them over the top they take a developmental QB. The best part about a rookie QB is what you can do for the rest of the team while they make peanuts but most of Loves rookie deal they will still be paying Rodgers an insane amount of money.

Rodgers is a great QB, but other than that he's a whiney baby and a prick. So awesome that what happened to Favre is happening to him. Full circle!!!!

I find it quite hard to criticize GB for taking a high upside QB in the first.

The last time they spent a first on a high upside, natural arm talent in need of seasoning was when they traded for Favre.

As uncertain as I am about Love, I find it a credit to his ability that GB found him worthy if a first round pick.

The timing for Love couldnt be better. You dont want to draft a raw upside guy like Love unless you have a QB firmly in place for a few years. If this was the Saints even, I would be concerned that Love didnt have enough time to develop.

They could cut Rodgers after 2021 if they wanted, but I doubt they do. I think this move was only done in light if their two first rounders last year.

Still, nice to know when ever the inevitable happens and Rodgers forces his way out (which if you know anything of the guy he is a whiny diva so should be soon), they take a huge cap hit. I like love I’ve loke him for a few months as if he is let to sit a year or 2 and eased in, I have thought he could be a franchise qb with some of his mahomes like qualities, but he also has a big bust quality to him too. His interception issues and forcing the ball thing and not making the best decisions at times is something hard to coach out of. See James Winston.

They take a 17 mill cap hit by cutting him after 2021, that's manageable. They take a 2 mill cap hit cutting him after 2022. That's nothing.

GB's new GM has spent alot of money actually.
