So, I took a peek at some Packers boards this morning, and there are some OKAY Packers fans after all. Some. A few.
Many were saying they knew they were not as good as their record, they are the worst 13-3 team since the Falcons, their 13-win season was largely fluky/lucky, etc. They think they'll compete for the division next season, but they aren't too optimistic about doing much in the playoffs. They cite their aging QB, aging OL, veteran DL/pass rushers, etc. Basically, they don't have enough young studs at the moment to be too bright about the future. Also, some are already saying LaFleur is nothing special.
I work next to 4 Packers fans (I can’t believe it took me moving to Texas to be surrounded by Packers fans...) and they’re all reasonable. I very much looked forward to coming into the office today to hear their takes. Unfortunately they’re the reasonable types and said they tuned out by halftime... Aaron Rodgers will be a hot button topic this offseason for them. 37 years old and clearly on the downside of his career! The small sample size of 4 still thinks he can pull off elite games.
