If not, it just goes to show you that the NFL isn't really about equality.

You can't truly call yourself "peaceful" unless you are capable of great violence. If you are not capable of great violence, you are not peaceful, you are harmless.

At least Kendrick Lamar has put out some fine albums lately. Eminem hasn't done anything worthwhile since Relapse, itself a shaky album. I'd try to quote you the most offensive stuff from Eminem's first few albums that blew up off the back of his lunatic drug using criminal murderer Slim Shady persona but I don't even know where to begin. Dr, Dre and Snoop Dogg came up in the 1980s and 1990s and their heyday is way behind them. Dre hasn't even put an album out in 6 years and had a brain aneurysm this year. Dre always talked about being a gang banger and the wikipedia part of "domestic violence against women" about Dre is a page long, for God's sake. Snoop Dogg is the opposite of Dre, he puts a new album out every year and absolutely nobody cares. He's well-known for loving cannabis and trying to monetize that any way he can. Maybe NFL can advertise Snoop Dogg's branded bongs?

Edit: Keeping it to the Vikings, the Gruden resignation shrinks the coaching pool for moving on from Zimmer. They already got Eric Bienemy and Brian Daboll in conversation to take the gig. Which might be a portion of what this is really all about, pearl clutching aside.

Absolutely, I agree with you. Nice points there. That is the million dollar question and a very good one. There has to be way more there? Why does the NFL pick and choose on so many punishments? I don't think the NFL is equal at all on many things. Discipline, flags, and many things.

Example Frank Clark of the Chiefs got arrested twice this summer with a uzi and the NFL hasn't suspended him. DeShaun Watson should be suspended too by now? I bet a whole lot of people are involved with 650,000 emails but they will pick and chose who to leak stuff about and punish. If Gruden has a secret on the NFL this might be the time he need to leak something about them.

I agree with Florio, let's get the emails released and see if the NFL is protecting Snyder here. And sure, go after the rappers at the Halftime show too. If we're going witch hunt, well, let's either commit to it or don't do it at all. If Gruden is the only one who gets sacked from this, it does feel like it was a hit job from the league and letting Snyder get away with [likely] similar behavior that Gruden didn't get away with.

I know this is off subject, but links to double standard stuff we talking about. Leonard Little ex NFL player ran a red light drunk and killed people and played in the NFL again. All because he was rich and could help these billionaires win. All regular people would have been done for doing something like that, but he got off light. Tyreek Hill punched and pushed a pregnant women down some stairs and got to play in the league. How many chances does Josh Gordon get? We can go on and on with the imbalances with rules due to picking and choosing.

1st off that laugh with his friend Bruce was on Allen's company email account. I don't know about all companies but mine would be a little p*ssed. With WTF then it might have been OK. Maybe that's why they weren't OK.

I guess since he didn't really say anything offensive about a group/race I fit in it's easy for me to say grow thicker skin. It's not up to me to say they shouldn't.

Now. This isn't right that Gruden got singled out however nobody not even him is denying he did say all these things he got exposed for. Fair or unfair it's was his words. At the time he sent these he worked for a network not the league. They wouldn't have let him quit is my guess. They would fire him. Being he wasn't working for a team then I wonder if the league could have done anything different then pressure Davis to make it right. Regardless of if others out there are just as guilty I won't make him some martyr for getting exposed. Sux to be you. Good luck with your next network job Chucky.

If anybody thinks Snyder would ever be punished worse the a $10 million wrist slap and having to name his wife to run day to day operations...wink wink. That would probably take a vote from his peers. You know those other 31 billionaires who don't want the shoe ever on the other foot if roles were reversed. We talk league like the league ain't actually those 32 owners who hire the commissioner. Are they protecting? No if in my mind.

This sums up my feelings well. The theories behind the leaks are interesting though maybe not complete imo. I haven't looked further into them. To me you only need to follow the ties. Gruden and Allen started together at Oakland. Gruden moved on to Tampa and Allen followed. Allen was let go from WFT in 2019. After a 3-13 season and before the harassment suit hit. As I said previously. Are the other owners protecting Snyder? I don't think it's a question. Is it a deeper issue for the league? Maybe the shadow leaker knows.

In my mind the league can't tell players the NFL supports them and wants to stamp out racism, but then turn around and say they won't release the emails. I don't think anyone is defending what Gruden said. It was inappropriate period. The problem is the selective leaking of the data for selective purposes while protecting everyone else involved... or holding it over their heads to get them to do whatever the leaker's bidding is.

They really should be releasing all of it in my opinion... but I suspect a bunch of bigger players will end up taking the fall (not to mention the calls to have the NFL expose this information in other organizations) and no one wants that at the moment
