Good grief, really Chuck? You think that shirt is good? Awww signalling your virtue to the twitterverse Chuck? Look at Chuck everyone, he's one of the good ones. Who is "we" anyway? Are blacks a monolith? I especially love that silent part at the end. Oh the irony. First of all whites are killed by police twice as often as blacks, but we never seem to hear about those. Talk about silence. When a cop kills a black however, it's all over the news, especially during an election year . Blacks usually burn down their own towns before the facts are in, so it's kind of hard to ignore. Where's the silence again? It's all over the f*cking news and social media every damn time. That's all we seem to talk about for weeks. f*cking hell the victim complex is strong here.
But ok lets talk about silence. Cops are responsible for 0.1% of black killings, most of which are justified because suspects resist arrest, or they fail to comply. Meanwhile blacks are responsible for 95% of black murders, but do we ever hear from black lives matter about it? Why is the black community so silent about it's own murder problem? Do black lives matter or not? Is it ever acknowledged anywhere? So why are T-shirts created over 0.1% like it's an epidemic while 95% goes ignored?
Now imagine how much higher those black on black murder statistics would be if police didn't maintain such a high presence in the black community. How many black lives do you suppose cops actually save just by existing? When 13% of the population is committing 53% of the murders and 50% of the violent crime, yeah I'm not surprised they're having to deal with the police more often than everyone else. If only there were a logical solution to the problem. If only there were a little more accountability in the black community and a little less victim complex.
I'm black myself, and there's certain towns that I can't even go in without fearing for my safety. I have a clean record but I've been harassed and bullied by police on several occasions. I've had a gun put to my head before by a police, I've been spat on by a police, and called a ****** every time. I remember when Barack Obama got elected for his 2nd term, this one cop who pulled me over talked hella sh*t about how Obama and people of our color should be killed or deported to Africa. Basically provoking me to do something so he can find a reason to beat or shoot my a$$. But when I'm on the news, it won't tell the true story, it's gonna claim that I was the aggressor and that I gave the police every reason to shoot me. Plus to most ppl eyes, I look like a walking black stereotype. I have dreads, tattoos, and drive a very nice car that most ppl would assume I acquired by doing something illegal like selling drugs. I've been pulled over many times because I resembled a suspect the police were looking for.
Most of you who disagree aren't minorities and you better be damn lucky you aren't. The news and the articles on the internet won't expose the whole truth. That's why he's doing what he's doing, trying to catch everyone's attention. You're more safe than we are. Black cops aren't going to tail your car because you're on the "wrong side of town." And if a black cop got out of line, you know his a$$ his going to jail.
So yes, we want police to get tried in court for their murders, and for the rest of society to stop being so damn gullible. Especially those of you who never been a victim of a racist cop. I live in Alabama and it's a plethora of dirty cops here. And it's sad I have to avoid certain cities, or else I might end up on the news like the others. That's what the black lives matter movement want, justice. And not just letting the police walk free.
I couldnt imagine living like that, and no cop should ever talk to anyone that way EVER!! I am glad that you are ok and intelligent enough to not give the short triggered cop anything to set him off more. But there are also many places that a white person cant go in without fearing for their lives either. Honestly, this sh*t has to stop!
I cant honestly make an opinion on the third paragraph other than to say, I grew up poor and on the wrong side of the tracks in my city and all the surrounding cities and was pulled over for "not fitting in" as well, so it does happen to white people too!
The fourth paragraph is the one that concerns me the most. I do believe that a lot of people are gullible but, every time a cop shoots and kills a black person, right away blacks claim it was murder. some may have been unwarranted like Freddie Gray, that was unreal... but Michael Brown?? again, I am not making this political or racially. I study alot. just want to say, maybe your the one being fooled sometimes too? burning down a city and rioting and looting isnt doing anyone any good. Martin Luther King was a great man and spoke of great dreams which many people both black and white agreed with and racial tensions were getting better. I disagree with the way BLM and Al Sharpton represent the black community, and killing cops isnt a good way to make cops make less gun happy when pulling over a black person. I get pulled over, I keep my mouth shut and do what the cop asks, and I tell him I am carrying and tell him where it is, and then I let them tell me what they want me to do.
I think most people arent racist on color anymore, not all, but most, but there are just stupid people of all color that ruin it for everyone else.
I want everyone here to know, I wrote this and deleted it about 10 times, mostly out of fear of offending someone. TOTALLY not my intention, just trying to communicate that I can relate to his problems at some levels, but maybe open the door of communication between everyone and fixing this issue without the "expert" government getting involved. If this has offended anyone, I apologize upfront and will delete it.
Thank you
