Ok, let's start at the top...

First off we might of found Judd Zulgad's burner account. If you would have read the actual words that I wrote previously it would explain that I took exception to him calling the players on the team that I really root for and really care about a "bunch of unlikable frauds". You got to actually read the words that I write and it answers your question. You could keep asking the same question but that's not how the English language works... And quite frankly it's weird how protective you are of some random doofus from the radio. But if he's going to unjustly slander things I give a sh*t about, Yeah I'm probably not going to like it and call him a f*cking douche. Maybe it's because I'm some f*cking guinea from New Jersey but that's how the sh*t works around here. We see bullsh*t we call bullsh*t. We don't care about your feelings.

As far as Trey Lance goes I don't know much about him to be honest but my best friend is a giant 49ers fan who flys from New Jersey to San Francisco multiple times a year for about the past decade and all I know is he went from being super happy that they drafted a quarterback in May to 'uh-oh word on the street is they might have a major problem here and this guy might be a huge bust.' I certainly don't know, I don't follow or care about the 49ers. I just defer that to my one friend who is the biggest 49ers fan that I know. I'm sure he's just regurgitating stuff that he reads in the inner circles of being a 49ers fan. So that's that....

As far as Mahomes yeah man you are 100% right. He's the only quarterback drafted since 2010 in the first round to win a Super Bowl. He's why you have a 3% chance to win a Super Bowl by drafting a quarterback in the first round since 2010.

If you think we're going to get the next Patrick Mahomes you got to get out of your fantasy land. I can't help you but that's the exception definitely not the norm or even close to it. The Minnesota Vikings are the most unlucky franchise in the history of American sports. There is a 0.001% chance We are drafting the next all-time legendary quarterback in the NFL. Get out of your fantasy land and come back to reality now. Or don't I don't care.... But I'm certainly not naive enough to think that we're going to draft the next Patrick Mahomes or Tom Brady.

But again if we had like no other good pliers it wouldn't matter I would be fine with it.

If you want to replace Cousins I'm fine with that too. Just bring me a better retread. That's perfectly fine.

But you do not cut Kirk Cousins or trade Kirk Cousins, then draft some rookie and hand this team who has talent toward the end of their prime but still in their prime to some unknown.

And again if you want to draft a quarterback and keep Kirk Cousins And you don't have to trade future first round picks to do so. Go ahead but you better have a coach that can identify whether this guy can play and be a franchise player from practice for preseason.

This keeps coming up and it's not just you. Don't get me wrong but everyone loves to point to Patrick Mahomes and when you do that you lose all credibility in my book because where have you been? Do you know anything about the history of the Minnesota Vikings? We are not hitting the lottery.... Where you been all these years man?

If so, he's doing a very poor job. Wouldn't his burner be even more brash about how Zimmer and Cousins need to go?


You don't need to question my reading comprehension... besides, I wasn't asking about your beef with Judd. I already understood why you don't like him, and I was poking fun that you also seemed to have a thing for Lance.


I don't think "word on the street" should already determine Lance to be a bust, which is how you've been referring to him. San Fran fans need to have more patience. I guess seeing Mac Jones have success with the Patriots is making them nervous, since the rumors were heavily suggesting the 49ers were going to take him at #3.


That's a self-fulfilling prophecy - if you believe we will never find an elite QB, and thus never try, then we for sure never will. Kansas City hadn't won a Super Bowl in 50 years until they drafted Mahomes... they had their fare share of woes over that long stretch of time. Shouldn't their story be a viewed as a tale of hope for desperate fans like us? I'll take those 3% odds.


So we should just give up and accept we'll never win a Super Bowl? Got it.

But the thing is, I've seen luck strike the unluckiest of teams. Even in the last 20 years, we've seen the Red Sox 86 year "curse of Bambino" broken, and even the insane Chicago Cubs' 108 World Series drought end. There is no reason why we need to hold on to superstition and give up hope on finding Brady and Mahomes... because while we're busy waiving the white flag, the teams that will be looking for the needle in the haystack will eventually find it.


Honestly... I don't care. We saw the Purple People Eaters & Tarkenton fail to win a SB, Randy Moss had his gaudy stats, Adrian Peterson was a beast, but we still came up short time and time again. Sure, I like this core group of players, but I honestly don't care if the likes of Jefferson/Cook/Thielen's statistical numbers suffer in our pursuit of a Super Bowl. I'm not on board Reignman & Co's "Championship Mindset", but dang it, I want to see this team win a Super Bowl before I die. Any other trivial pursuit just doesn't matter to me. Let's win a freaking title and then we can worry about piling up the statbook.

There is a high risk finding the right coach, plus the lack of cap room once you've given Cousins and Hunter extensions (which I assume you'd do?). I have a hard team seeing how the defense is going to rebound unless you ace free agency / the draft / and hire the right DC. Either path you take incurs a lot of risk.

There is a shot you have the most overall talent on offense. You only need like a top 20 defense at that point. Th offense is ok this year with a dude who was recently the WR coach at Kansas calling plays.

How many defenses have been subpar on championship teams lately... We don't need to be a top 5 defense if we maximize our offense.

Let alone Rodgers likely out of the division, Brady another year older, etc....

I mean that's still 16% and It was a different game for most of the 55 years.

Maybe we're damned if we do damned if we don't... Because blowing up this roster and turning it over to a rookie QB is less than 16% We win a Super Bowl. Matter of fact we know drafting a QB in the first round since 2010 yields you a 3% chance of winning the Super Bowl.

Maybe we're just f*cked no matter what. In reality I probably just need to stop giving as much of a sh*t as I do. At least Im a Yankees fan and seen five world series. Even though I would trade all five for one Vikings Super Bowl.

Unfortunately the more I think about it I think we're going to make some major mistakes in this coming off season. Some rash decisions. I was born in 1979 and although I obviously haven't watched the Vikings my entire life because what 2-year-old watches football but I think there's something like three maybe four years that we've had less than six wins in my 42 years. We pretty much remained relevant at least my whole life. I just have a terrible feeling that the law of averages is about to catch up And we're going to make some major mistakes over in the next couple years that's going to render us irrelevant for a decade or more. I mean we've never really been bad for multiple years in a row like the Jets and Giants. And the start of that is usually a series of bad GM and coach hires that fail. There is just no possible way we're going to replace the coach general manager and quarterback and come out of this a better team and a better franchise. Nobody goes three for three like that...

It will be interesting to see how much the Wilfs are persuaded by the fanbase's perception that right now is fueled off of anger and not rational thinking. But I pretty much sit here and guarantee you if we try to change all three positions in the same off-season we will be irrelevant well into the 2030s. And I will gladly love to eat some crow with that statement.

Like Rodgers?  Who, has one Super Bowl victory in his career. Amazingly the only year he had a top 5 defense.  See, if a QB makes the defense better, why hasn't the Packer's defense been better all these years?  Arguably they have had two of the top QB's to ever play the game in the last 30 years. Yet their defense has languished in mediocrity for most of it.  Their only 2 SB victories came  with a defense ranked 1 and 2.  Other than those two years their defense has been average at 14.  Does anyone believe that Manning was a better QB in New York and Favre and Rodgers? Although what he had was defenses that stepped up their game during the playoffs.  The way a QB plays can influence the defense, I just don't think it has a major factor in it.
