Y'all missing my point. All that don't matter that is why we have 11 guys. On any given play I am not responsible for everything. Others have duties too. So all 11 of us need to do our part and our assignment to make the defense a whole dominate unit. If I have you on Tyreek Hill that is who you are on. Kelce and the other guys you don't worry about that until they break the line of scrimmage with the ball. Regardless 1950 or 2021 the basic stay the same. Get on your assignment and rally to help somebody else with their assignment only after that guy has the ball beyond the line of scrimmage. You can't tell me nothing bout defense no way no how.
That is what offenses want you to do is fall for the window dressing guys in motion, fake hand offs and all that. Why do you think teams do play action? I tell you why so the guy who suppose to be guarding the WR comes up and leaves his assignment trying to do others job. All this is window dressing by good OCs to get defenders out of position. Do your job and make sure it's clear from a threat before you try to do something else. When breaking down to its core football is still football. They trying to soften it up for offenses with rules though. The concept still remains though through and through.
