Playoffs and then slide off is not the mission being a champion is. If this fails start over fresh. What great coach is gonna desire coming here with the state of our cap room? First order of business is opening up cap so the new guy can bring in his guys for his plan.

Here is the thing nobody mentions. When you draft a QB you might as well move on from Dalvin, Thielen, Kendricks, Barr, and Harrison Smith... The rookie QB is likely gonna need a solid 2-3 years to develop and these guys don't have that many more prime years.

I don't see no reason not too. Teams that blow don't make the playoffs. If we miss the playoffs 2 straight and only make it 3 times in 8 years that is better then the Jets but not good. If your goal is to just not be the worst team...then by all means keep throwing money at a top heavy unproductive team. If your goal is more then you tear down. Take your lumps in the hopes of something better. You can't let fear of what could be worse stop you from trying to get better.

I just said the same thing. We have to get out the mindset of fear and excepting average as a fan base spot on Sun.

I agree it's necessary if we tank even though I appreciate Zimmer, he's been overall a good coach for us. I just don't want Eric Bieniemy cause he's a turd that has rode coat tails and had failed like 15 job interviews, so if we want to not be average let's not hire the guy that wasn't good enough for like half the league and scared sh*tless he'd be a prime candidate here for certain reasons... Furthermore I just don't want one of these QBs in this piss poor QB class. If I'm drafting a QB I want a guy that comes from a big program with multiple years of success... A Deshaun Watson type.. or dare I say Deshaun himself🤔

I'm certainty not gonna sit here and lie to myself and pretend a Spencer Rattler is a good prospect. Truth is a year where a QB don't go #1 like projected this year is an awful year cause of the dude was even top 15 worthy he'd be elevated to #1 in a bad year usually...

Just don't wanna force anything and rather pay a huge price to trade up in another year when there is a real guy...

Actually come to think about it, it looks like it's a crappy draft as a whole, trade out, aquire picks to use to move up in the future and get the guy...

We will let it play out but we know where it likely headed. Thanks for that Sun and that is kind of what I was trying to say. But I am tired but can't sleep my insomnia messing with me. So I not thinking crisply and that's why I was getting off track for a minute and being grumpy. Lol. But I'm back on track.

It's not about tanking though. Try our best all year win as much as we can, but if it not working blow this thing up and start fresh. But like Sun said we have to get out of this acceptance of average and inconsistent play. Be willing to embrace the change aim for better and move on if that is what is needed to better or future a few years from now. I would take anything over a 45 hit and a top bloated roster who losing. Mond Rattler whoever, because having cap to right the ship is our way out this runt. If the tables don't turn these next few weeks and we get on track.

Which probably means we win this week cause it has a Saints 2019 feel.. waaaa we suck, we have no chance. I kinda think we've seen this before. But who knows we'll see. I think this roster has too much talent.

You just emotionally attached to Zim at first he was cool, but the results aren't there. Especially if this year works against him. I mean Zim was Bienemy as far as interviews go and you like him. I don't want Bienemy neither, but man if this blow up we gotta do something. Not sure what that's for the Wilfs to decide but something. But let go of average and swing for better.. If unfortunately this season goes south.

Zim coached his own defenses, didn't ride the coattails of a all time QB or coach.

But I'm with you. It's time to change if we don't get to the NFC championship like iv stated all off-season.

Let's let it play. We really haven't been contenders since 2017 though. I don't see us getting there this year and I'm past thinking this group will get back there any sooner then someone else could. I hope I'm proven totally wrong by this season. I sure don't want to be just close enough that the believe is they can either. Played that one in 2018. Maybe that's unfair but so be it.

I am with you 100. That is why I said all the way or dang close or clean house. Because if we just make the playoffs or win a WC game. They will extend Kirk keep everything going just for back to this after our year in year out the playoffs. I rather we either really show something or not so the real results come in and they either clearly earn it and prove us wrong or prove they not it once and for all. So we have real clarity. Because Kirk has enough support this year if he the real deal.

Let me be clear I will sure be the first to admit I am wrong about Kirk and the coaching if they prove me wrong when the season ends. I hope that is the case obviously I do. Just at this time my confidence in all them is gone. But it is not like my watching every minute hoping we succeed will ever change. We can go 0-17 and I will be in front of the TV still watching just like I was week 17 last year and all the years before. I can bash them when I am pissed because of poor play because I paid my dues and fought through the pain and disappointment for many years and stayed true and will always stay a fan. That is why I get so upset with it because I am a loyal person and I am stuck for life even if they never bring us one.

I am with you 100. That is why I said all the way or dang close or clean house. Because if we just make the playoffs or win a WC game. They will extend Kirk keep everything going just for back to this after our year in year out the playoffs. I rather we either really show something or not so the real results come in and they either clearly earn it and prove us wrong or prove they not it once and for all. So we have real clarity. Because Kirk has enough support this year if he the real deal.

I get I kinda took this off topic. It's about Kirk not Mike. However Mike is like Chilly but Kirk ain't no Farve. Kirk is just about being good enough to keep getting paid. No way he says screw you Mike get out of the way and let me win us some games like Farve told Brad...maybe not in so many words but so it seemed. He got Brad paid though...lol.

Zimmer has gotten the best seasons out of every QB he has coached, including one of the biggest busts in NFL history, a career backup and yes, Kirk Cousins. He isn't the one holding Kirk back, Kirk is the one holding Kirk back.
