The Positives - 2021 Edition

Let's leave the insults to the truly negative posters. Drank, you are not one of those. The defense was certainly helped by the offense, but the defense also got stops after getting gashed the first three drives. Without those defensive stops, the time of possession would not have been so lopsided in the 2nd half.

Props to Mattison aka Matty I been forgetting to mention him. He ran hard and with power which also helped a ton.

Okay here we go... and I not saying the defense didn't make no plays that is not my argument. My argument is the offense won this one and made it easy on the defense. By sustaining drives in the 2nd half and keeping the ball for 75% of the half. In 8 minutes Seattle had 3 misses. Since they didn't get many chances it magnified the 3 misses.

1. Sheldon did not cause Russ to miss that throw to Swain Russ had time to make that throw just over threw it
2. Metcalf miss timed his jump or was in position to catch the jump ball.
3. Russ put to much air on the throw because the WR beat us. On the harry play.

All these due to keeping them off the field and out of rhythm. The defense made a few plays sure. But us limiting them with the ball allowed the defense to only need to come up with a hand full of timely plays and a few Seattle mistakes to bring it home. The double dip at half time and second half by the offense was huge to. You can see the 3 errors Seattle made starting at 9:25 on this highlight reel. Offense was the major player in this win. The defense still hasn't proved nothing to me yet. The offense is way ahead IMO!

On Seattle's 1st drive of the second half Griffen sacked Wilson and they had to punt. On their 2nd drive there was a forced fumble and a TFL by Kendricks. Another punt. On their 3rd drive Hendricks sacked Wilson and they had to eventually punt again. Our defense shut out Seattle's offense in the second half and IMO played an important part in the win. I can only hope that momentum continues.

Not what I want to hear or see, but what it is. Defense didn't win that game you not changing my mind so leave it alone or we can go back and forth up to you.
