Ha! I was already quoting Drank when I saw this. Well played. That'll be just our luck won't it? I came into the season thinking about 2 possible outcomes, both of which I was ok with. 1) a nice season with a deep playoff run or 2) another dumpster fire that leads to the end of Zimmer. But once again the football gods found a way to potentially screw us.

It's the weight room. All that bulking up is putting a constant strain on muscles and ligaments. Bodies weren't meant to be that tight. It's not broken bones or even contact injuries making players miss time, it's pulls and tears. Back in the day the bulk was built with an extra helping of meat and potatoes.

they play the math. guessing the math says the Vikings cover the spread... which is no doubt moving in only one direction when the retail bettors pile on.

Then again, this is the Vikings... they have a way of screwing people over.

Man I really don't understand this franchise sometimes. They got a good look at Mannion in 2019 and it wasn't pretty. In other words, if he has to start for us at some point, we're looking at some L's, and if you're going to lose anyway, why not do it developing your project QB of the future? Does this regime understand anything at all about development, or do they believe young players can only develop in practice? It would make sense if Mannion was a Keenum type who could give us a chance to win, but that's obviously not the case. I don't even understand why he's still in the NFL.

I don't think so, Mannion is clearly locked in as the backup, and Nwangwu should be activated soon (probably after Seahawks game) off the IR, thus taking Abdullah's spot.
