Last 2 eh? Tough call. I liked Keenum, he gave us a magical season, but I didn't think he was capable of duplicating it in 2018, so I was initially ok with Cousins who appeared to be an upgrade ... on paper. Not that I was ever super excited about him, but jeez, all he had to do was keep the 13-3 ship afloat, but the gravitational pull of his overwhelming mediocrity was just too great. So does Keenum count? Or does it have to be a QB we wanted to stick around long term? Because that's a much more difficult question based on the crop of QB's we've been presented the past 61 years.
I liked Favre too, but I knew he wasn't a long term solution. Culpepper is probably the only one in recent memory who seemed like a bona fide franchise QB, until the wheels literally fell off.
Cunningham and Moon were both short term solutions as well. Brad Johnson was a frustrating checkdown machine. Yeah, wow, when forced to think about it, this franchise really hasn't given us many promising prospects. Perhaps that's why I was so hopeful of Sloter?

Francis Chokenton? That's so much worse. The original Ponder. His backyard clown show only worked back then because defenses didn't believe in conditioning, and weren't as disciplined. Workouts consisted of how much meat and potatoes you could shove in your face and how many 12oz cans you could lift. It's why he always looked so bad in the Super Bowl where he had to go up against an actual defense.
