What you are now seeing is the work of dennison. Their is a grind to coaching that position that most havent a clue. Its not just change coaches and voila the offensive line is better.
Do you honestly think you are the only person here who's actually coached football? And if "voila" doesn't happen in one season, how does Stefanski take a 6-10 team and transform them into a 11-5 team in one season?
"Voila", maybe?
As stated on here by numerous posters, the quick passing game and massive upgrade at RG probably have more to do with the improved O-line play than anything. But what you ARE seeing this year that you didn't last year is great blitz pickup, which is DIRECTLY related to film room and on-field coaching. You're also seeing guys playing with better technique, playing low, and playing with leverage. When was the last time we could say we saw that under Dennison?
There are any number of factors that the improved play can be attributed to, probably a combination of many, but to say that a unit can't be transformed over the course of one season when it's been proven that entire teams can, is just simply incorrect.
I never said teams dont get better over a season. You aint got that anywhere on any site from me. What you do have is me saying they will keep people around forever who they believe can play i.e thielen, dozier, cook, jackson, brad johnson, sullivan, jeff christie…
Bill billicheck is the master of bringing his teams along slowly. They almost never start out looking like contenders.
Lets see stefanski do it again but now win the divsion? Make it another round deeper? Until then who cares what stefanski has done. Zimmer has won the division, had a winning record then fell back to rebuild mode a.k.a vikings history.
