You know most people here are over looking the fact how much better our DL is going to be compared to last year which in turn will make the defense WAY better and dare I say elite....
Hear me out ...
Tomlinson, Pierce, and Richardson is really Fn good and a million times better than last year. How painful was it watching Linval get old and the 49ers run it right down our throat when everyone on the planet knew what was coming and we just couldn't stop it in 2019. I feel like our run defense has been trash for years... Really shouldn't be anymore. Put those 2 giants up the middle and in front of Kendricks one of the best MLBs in football and it will be great to watch. I'm from NJ and ALL my friends are Giants fans they feel that letting Tomlinson go is exactly the same as letting Linval go... I think he is under rated. He can definitely get after it on passing situations for a guy built like him.
Now on top of that we are getting Danielle Hunter back and I think it's safe to say he is the best player on our defense. Word out of camp is he looks absolutely recovered and not hindered at all. The guy is a genetic freak and could end up in Canton someday if he stays on course.
Last year we left a bunch of rookie corners on no pass rush island hell and having Danielle alone would of meant a couple of wins in those close games. I'd go as far to say we'd of won 2 of the 3 of Tennessee, Seattle, Dallas... I mean a play here or there in those games and we got 2 more wins. And even at that this team has more talent.
This DL I think is gonna make this Zim hellfire defense 2.0 and truth be told on its first incarnation we certainly didn't have the talent we do now on offense. Let's fn rock. I'm so ready to get this season started. Good things are on the horizon.
