I hope he puts up a 200 yard game in the playoffs. I think the Jets just didn't now how to use him.
To be fair, the whole team died when Rodgers went down. Cook would've been just fine with Rodgers back there.
Dalvin Cook 67 carries, 214 yards (3.2 YPC), 15 catches 78 yards
Why didn't Hall stink since Rodgers got hurt? He was leagues better despite coming off a torn ACL. Cook would have flopped with Rodgers at QB, perhaps with a slightly better YPC but he still would have been stuck behind Hall.
Look up his individual game stats, not just volume stats.
Of course Hall is better than Cook. No argument there. But Hall was also propped up by a few good games.
Coming off an ACL? His first game he rushed 10 times for 127 yards.
...and then he had other games:
9 yards, 12 yards, 16 yards, 17 yards, 18 yards, 23 yards, 25 yards, 28 yards, 39 yards, 40 yards, etc. Need I go on?
I'm not saying Cook is in his prime or would be some stud, but come on... He would've been much better on a competent offense. Let's be fair here. He was always known as someone who got better as the game wore on. He wasn't even given that opportunity this season. The Jets offense stinks, and Cook's production suffered as did everyone else's.
