No Excuses! 2021

They needed a miracle to get back in that game... Stop man the negative spins are stupid.. Last year we werent any good and by week 16 had no defense left... That game dont count, your not comparing teams that were remotely close to each other in talent gap by week 16 last year. Insanity making that argument. Vince Lombardi couldnt of won that game. Just looking to make points you dont understand in the first place. 


Go ahead man suit yourself, root against this team this year to save face. If thats what you want.  Im not gonna keep going back and forth with those morainic spins. "It took a miracle waaaaaaa" how many years you gonna keep writing the same thing. How many mini miracles did it take for them to get back in the game? What a hack...

WOW!!! Now seething disrespect to our WRs... No sir, the Rams WRs are absolute trash compared to Jefferson and Thielen... Stafford is hardly better than Cousins. Do we talk win loss records with Stafford? I mean he played with Calvin Johnson and was a loser. Weird how no one brings up what a loser the guy is and the fact we have been kicking the snot out of him for a decade. 

No excuses seems like a good mantra, but they'll always be made. If the younger guys gel, this definitely could be an NFC crown contender, but as I've said previously, I don't think Zimmer has what it takes. Rick did his job this offseason quite well. It's up to Zim.

I think it's safe to assume that everyone here (sans the fans of other teams that post here) want the Vikings to be successful and win a Super Bowl, or at the very least, get over the proverbial "hump" from playoff contender every-other-year and the occasional division title to "consistent" contender for playoffs, division titles, conference championships and eventually Super Bowl Title. It's tough to have that level of consistency outside of having a great QB like Brady, Mahomes, Brees, Rodgers, Wilson, etc, but some teams are in the conversation in the conference race every year even without one of those and we'd all like the Vikings to be in that conversation....

That's the common ground among nearly all of us....

...what it takes to get there is where many opinions among fans differ. Some fans don't believe that the current coaching staff under Zimmer can get us over that proverbial "hump" given what we've seen in the past 7 seasons. I don't think that's being a "Negative Nancy" or "Debbie Downer" - I think it's being a bit more "realistic" using past results to predict future outcomes.

I think we'll all root for the Viking's on Gameday, with the only times anyone wanting them to lose is meaningless games at the end of the season that could impact draft position (ie, many fans wouldn't have minded at all if the Vikings lost Wk 17 during the 2020 season)....

It's certainly fine for anyone to be optimistic and to drink/share the "purple Kool-aid", so-to-speak....but for many fans, it's "I'll believe it when I see it", and that's certainly fine, as well...

It's not enough for me either. As stated in the original post NFC title game is the line in the sand. I just think Zimmer is good enough to get us there and then it's a matter of 2 coin flips.

We will see what we will see, we will see what comes from thee! That's all I'm going to say about that!

Or it could be he added talented players who don't fit the scheme. Or who are too injured and too often not available. Or that they're past their prime and all of a sudden a liability on the field, despite what it looked like "on paper" in the offseason.... etc, etc....

Going back to Zimmer’s quote.... don't tell us about the labor, show us the baby...... goes for both him and Rick.....
