A team like say Miami that looks like they could go 3 wide 80% of the time could be interested, maybe Denver or another team. Paying 35 million for 1 year does seem steep but 1) we don't know how high the cap will jump 2) a GM might be desperate to save his job so getting Cousins to throw the ball might be a big upgrade especially in Miami & Denver 3)Maybe even Pitt or NO could be looking to upgrade and they will most likely be mid-late 1st Rd picks so getting Cousins for a 2nd over reaching on a QB in the draft would be a smarter move. I think Cousins will have someone interested especially since I think he'll have a good 2021

LA gave up 2 1sts to get rid of an overpaid QB who can throw for 4.5K and 30 TDs and who has been to the playoffs 3 of his 5 seasons in the NFL and been to a SB. In a year where a number of teams were desperate to get a QB.

GMs and HCs have realized raw QB stats don't mean what they used to. It is time for fans and sports analysts to figure that out as well.

Stafford gets a pass by the league because he played on the Lions, I dont think hes any better than Cousins nor would I give up what the Rams did, but a lot of that was because the Lions took on Goffs contract. Staffords trade is like Kirk going from the Skins to the Vikings off of a NFC ship. I tend to agree, though I think the soonest Kirk is officially on the block so to speak will be this offseason. Even if Mond is going full SloterGOAT against 2nd teams during preseason, I think it would be smart to let him develop a year. After that, trade Cousins for whatever you can get and pray for a bidding war.

I totally agree the earliest I want Mond to play would be Week 18 if we're locked into a playoff spot. Maybe get a few late 4th quarter drives if we are way ahead like Chilly did with TJack in 2009.

Arm talent isn't a stat on top of it being an incredibly arbitrary measure of a QB.

Cousins is not a college prospect with arm talent that gives him a ton of potential. He will be a 10 year vet who has proven to be easy to stop with a solid defense and who doesn't do a whole lot to help his team win games.

They see that a playoff caliber defense is going to give him trouble most of the time and they know that big numbers against bad teams means little when you are going to beat those bad teams with a lesser QB anyway. He puts up great #'s in a run first offense, his stats are comparable to guys like Rodgers, Stafford and Goff except he throws 150-200 times less a year. I'm going say there's a GM who thinks Cousins could come in and put up MVP #'s for their team and he's better then what they have. Honestly would you rather have Winston or Cousins if your NO? How about Rudalph or Cousins if your Pitt next year? Teddy/Lock or Cousins if your Den? Tua or Cousins if your Mia? There will be teams willing to trade a 2nd or a 3rd for Cousins and Rick should listen
