The Official Draft Thread - Day 3

Yep, and here's the "OL Scheme Fits" thread that we started in February - link. In the first post, it was outlined that Trey Smith wasn't a scheme it....and you know who was? Darrisaw and Davis....

Like it or not, one thing we know about the Zimmer era and draft prospects is we have a pretty good idea on which type of prospects they tend to target, which does make it easier to sift through the prospects and come up with a reasonable list they would likely target. I wish it wasn't that way with OL prospects because we all know that going pure-athleticism doesn't always work in the NFL - it's never a bad idea to have a guy or two on the OL (especially on the interior) who can handle his guy one-on-one. 

I mentioned this somewhere during Day 3 though: the Vikings were basically "throwing darts" early on Day 3 in the 2021 Draft (Kene in Rd 4, Davidson in Rd 5), so why not throw a dart on Trey Smith in Rd 5, regardless of scheme fit....
