Yeah I get it but still think its easier to say that now since we know what happen. Okudah had a terrible year as well as a #3/4 overall I forget which one, CB not easy to come in the league especially on a covid year I dont think we couldve written him off as a football player yet. Character issues are a lot different than what Gladney did, unless he had prior cases of domestic violence etc Im not going to blame the organization for taking him because of what he did. They are usually good at taking high character guys and avoiding the ones that arent. Im not saying I was a huge fan of the pick as we mostly did it because CB was a huge need at the time. That seems to be when we get ourselves in the most trouble when we draft for need in the 1st round as I believe you should always take the best player available, which he was not at that pick so I can agree with you on that.

Obviously picking one can bust, but we also hit homer runs too. As far back as Culpepper and Dimitrius Underwood the multiple 1st Rd tactics don't work for us. One ends up a historical bust. This Gladney dude make Bradbury pick seem good. At least Bradbury made it past a damn year geez.

Yes he will knowing damn well this was Zim. The evidence is there after the JJ pick right on tape. He started asking get my CB what CBs will be there blah blah blah.

Drafting Justin Jefferson makes it easy for me to forget about the Gladney pick that's for sure. Now that was a AWESOME pick!

I certainly hope we can claw back bonus money and be off the hook for the remainder of his contract. That's the first thing I thought of. It's times like this that I am reminded that having first round draft picks is often highly over-rated.

I think it was pretty easy to see he would be cut. I mean he wasn’t very good as a rookie so unless he was really good like Jefferson level or slightly worse, then he wasn’t going to make the team with his legal issues.

The Vikings can attempt to get any money paid and not earned back. Even the guaranteed money. So basically anything that he didn't earn last year.
