If you think this is our year, don't let nobody on here knock you off your belief. I think we can go to the playoffs if we fix the oline, Super Bowl I doubt it but that's why we play the games be you at all times though I can respect that.

We have a punchers chance if we fix the oline. Though I agree we sometimes have good years. We no different then the Lions fans really, neither have a world championship, which is the goal. Now it is not a total failure if we go deep in playoffs and lose. At the same time we been to the NFC Championship 4 times in my lifetime. Those were good years that I cherish, but my back won't be scratched until we win the whole thing. So in a sense we similar to Lions fans ,still feeling empty just like a Lions fan. Waiting for that year.

I hardly even watch them anymore when I used to watch at least 75 of the 82 games a year from 1990 to about 2009... I'm lucky to be interested enough to catch 5 games a year now. Trust me. We are nothing near hopeless. We are snakebitten chokers but that is much more relevant.

Oh man that 1999 run as the 8 seed was amazing. Even though we list in the finals that was amazing. Ewing is my favorite athlete ever. He was sh*t on at the time too by some of the fans. They learned to appreciate him once he was gone. He would have multiple rings if it wasn't for Jordan.

When lists and comparisons are made, one issue I have always had (including the Sammy two sleeves vs Teddy comparisons etc) is that we sometimes compare QBs who are at different points in their career.

If we are going to compare Kirk with some of those on that list, then look at Kirk's first few seasons only. Not the veteran/experienced Kirk of today. Otherwise, wait to see how those players will look like when they have the experience Kirk does.
