But see what pisses some of us off is this is the same pattern year after year and people just have a meh who cares attitude and they quickly forget how they felt the year before and the year before that. Even if you just want entertainment at some point sucking has to ruin even that.

I think all they are doing is creating more not less options for when draft time comes.
Come on Pit. You know I'm no big fan of Rick or Zimmer. They didn't get fired. Which if you remember I wasn't totally against. Yes maybe they are doing just enough again. Jeez I can't even begrudgingly give someone credit for doing their job while they still have it I guess. Again, how is saying they did the best they could with the resources available a glowing endorsement?

Well anyone they signed at different positions could have done the same. More vs less options. The problem is if the FA don't work then it's moot.

A proven 3T would have been better than getting Tomlinson (and keeping Pierce) Woods and Peterson. I think keeping a proven LT vs no sure plan is always a mistake. I'd imagine Hill is the plan if nothing else better comes along. If it's Cleveland I see that as a terrible plan as well as O'Neill.

Maybe it had more to do with the last statement about people still being pissed because IYO they made some good moves with the lack of resources vs you giving credit. To me it was a back handed slap at those that don't see the positives in the moves so far just because they made you know some moves.

Here is something I will add. Rick should've drafted DL because he's had more success there then OL. Then to add two more CB yet again just screams failure again.

Saying the D was worse than the OL is like saying my wife is a 3 vs a 3.5. Either will get you killed.

Here's my issue they just regressed at LT TE and S or at best a few may be a push. Either way that doesn't improve the roster. The other most these guys are 1 year rentals and again next year will have to reshuffle yet again. There's very little long term answers even if some of these guys prove their salt.

Why do you say he has questionable pass coverage? He was pretty good in 2018 and 2019. In 2020 the Cowboys defense fell apart and Woods was asked to play in the box WAY more than previous years, and his grade suffered. I think on this defense he will be average at worst, for a supreme bargain.

It doesn't mean you can't be dissatisfied with the coaching staff, front office, or individual players, it's just a way to enjoy this team without making yourself and everyone around you utterly miserable.

Do we need to end the discussion with the 5 year rule that has been brought for the ultimate state in why Zimmer and Spielman won't get what every team strides to achieve?

You do realize stats are nothing on their own don't you? You do understand they can be manipulated to fit any narrative you so choose. Any true statistician knows you can't truly judge anything or anyone with that many moving parts. No matter how smart a computer is it still can't give you what you need to come to any real conclusion.

Actually that's how HC and GMs are judged. That is by their success not by stats. If you want the offseason SB then enjoy your meaningless stats.

Maybe people that see everything positive are the problem here. Yes, it's topic switching when the topic being discussed is the success or failure of individual players and/or units. Everybody, and I mean everybody understands that the only way to measure "ultimate" success is winning the last game of the season.

And it's not about trying to Pollyanna through the year being satisfied with menial accomplishments, every fan wants the ultimate prize, but living in a pit of misery until the latter happens seems like an utter waste of time and the antithesis of how it should be viewed. People who enjoy the wins when they come aren't blind homers, they're simply utilizing the sport for why it was created, an enjoyable diversion from every day life. If that makes us homers in your eyes, then so be it.

Nobody is telling you how you should or shouldn't be, I simply posed a question as to why you continue to follow the team if they make you utterly miserable. FTR, you haven't seen me being some endless ray of sunshine on here with zero perspective, I've been very critical of the team and leadership, it's just not something I live in every second of every hour of every day.

As far as the prison rape analogy, people tend to see the world through their own eyes so being that I've never been to prison or experienced rape, the fact that someone might have experienced it didn't even cross my mind. I am not one to tiptoe around the feelings of others but when it comes to a topic like this, I would certainly make an exception. I apologize if this was insensitive in relation to past experiences.

2 playoff wins. I'm also ashamed. Come here as cheap as he did? He squeezed as much as he could to get to the only team interested. You know the juggernaut squad known as the Dallas Cowboys they let him go. The reason they didn't have options at S was in house management and coaching. Oh please show me all those other fans that are praising the paper champions known as the Minnesota Vikings.

Actually I hate the Peterson signing. I hate the fact we didn't address the 3T with a true legit 3T but have 2 NT. They got rid of the best TE and LT to address Zimmers failed D and acquired lesser talent. Woods is worse than Harris that isn't how you improve. Peterson has been one of the worst CB the last 3 years. That isn't how you improve an already terrible secondary.

Playing next to a guy like Harrison Smith is exactly what this guy needs to refine his game. Playing for his college coach should be a big help too. Once he shakes out a few bad habits, he should be a very good free safety.

I don't know you well, so honestly asking. Are you willing to stand behind these statements? What quantifiable stances are you willing to take and put your nuts on the table?

I'll start. Woods will have a better year (via PFF) than Harris. Peterson will have the best year out of the last 3 this year too.
