Hopefully he does improve. But counting on him as anything more than strictly a backup DE is not wise. Maybe in year 3/4/5 he can develop into a starter for us..... didn't it take Robison and Griffen some years to develop into a starter as well?

I thought Wonnum did okay as a rookie. We definitely can't trust him alone yet, but he still has a chance. Hunter and EV even B-Rob took a minute. It usually take a few years at DE before a guy is ready. Flashes only is typical of a rookie DE .

I thought he was a good and have confidence that he can build off a decent rookie year.

I hope Kenny Willekes has recovered enough from his injury to train before the season starts. He's another young DE I'd like to see.

Maybe, maybe not......Robison started some games his rookie year and was a good rotational DE. Once Ray Edwards got traded Robison became a full time starter alongside Jared Allen. B-Rob had a good productive career for us.

Same with Griffen. He was a good rotational DE and then became a starter after Allen left.

Hunter took over for Robison.......

IIRC, you are correct. Even guys like Randle and Doleman took a couple years to show up.

I’m not sure, he’ll definitely be in the mix for a roster spot. They basically stopped using him after week 2, aside from the Panthers game. It was odd how he got rave reviews in training camp, opened as the #2 WR, and was immediately demoted to #4. I don’t know what Beebe did to usurp Bisi’s snaps Week 3 and on.
